What do I do with the wood chips from the woodturning? I give it away. They are scattered in a chicken coop.🐔
I made two egg cups for the owner of the chickens. We now have a nice natural cycle from wood chips to fresh eggs. The chickens love the wood chips.
The egg cups are made from Ekki. Also known as Azobe or Bongossi (or its Latin name, Lophira Alata). Ekki is also called Red Ironwood because it is an extremely strong and hard type of wood.

Very pretty and useful eggs Frank. I love how you tied it all together with the chickens. Most of my saw dust goes to our daughter for her chickens. Works out because we usually get some eggs when we drop it off. Great video my friend I loved it. Gary

Turning was difficult, but fun to do. I don't use them, it was a giveaway. But Peter is very happy with it and so is his wife. And the chickens are happy with the wood chips. So everyone happy. 😁 Thanks for watching Mike.

Thanks Bluey. I switched to carbide because it was almost impossible to do with the gouge.
