The first half of the ru-vid.comUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
I enjoy watching these people make woodworking furniture because it seems so basic on how they use their tools and the fact I love it when there is no pocket hole joinery being used. it reminds me of my brothers when they use what they have on hand e.g. the open air and a leveled cement floor.

Why don't people just appreciate the skill and stop bleating on about safety and the floor is the best work bench...most Japanese work on the floor and they have remarkable skills...bolt on all the safety gear and benches, extraction and low and behold the cost of the item has trebled....just enjoy the skill and get a life people.
Looks like super glue to cover the nail holes. Notice he punches them below the surface after nailing. Then he puts the super glue in the hole and sands over it while it’s still wet so the dust mixes with the glue making the hole invisible.
