Definitely with Jay on this one. Never understood the amount of praise Woody Allen receives. His movies have a certain subtle charm, and in terms of direction, cinematography, etc. they're very solid but the fact that he's held up as one of the greatest film makers of all time next to people like Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Felini, Bergman, Truffaut, Kurosawa, Scorsese, etc. is totally absurd to me
He makes great films .. Manhattan, Bullets over Broadway, Blue Jasmine, Manhattan Murder Mystery...I will wait for him to charged and sentenced..Won't watch the doc ...one of the kids in the house says Mia coached Dylan and the other kids to bring him down
@@jasonm1288 My favorite for some reason is Hannah and Her Sisters. But yeah these people just shit on anything that isn't made for ADHD kids. Big Jay the movie buff will tell you he's an authority on anything, and then go on about Karate Kid and other 80s pulp for retards.
Woody Allen’s early goofy slap stick is pretty good, like love and death and sleeper, but Mel brooks is definitely superior both in movies and not sleeping with his children. But tomato tomAto
Yeah, those early comedies like What's Up Tiger Lily?, Take The Money And Run, Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex, Bananas and Sleeper are funny as hell. It's some of his dramas that are self indulgent and ponderous.
Last week I heard Jay and Dan knock Thr Godfather Taxi Driver and Raging Bull this week Woody Allen.. love the show I would hate to go to the movies with them, please tell me they don't watch Marvel crap
The godfather is shite. One of the most overrated movies ever. Taxu Driver is fantastic and ahead of it's time, the themes of isolation and it's resulting pathologies they explore are way more pronounced bow than they were in the 70s Raging bull is boring.
They make fun of We Didn't Start The Fire but they were able to correctly r÷## dd//attle off the lyrics pretty easily. They must know the song so I doubt they really hate it so much. And even Billy Joel himself has said, in plenty of interviews that are out there, that the song is musically boring, repetitive and not so good. So they're just pointing out the obvious and it's not even funny.
