Maybe it's a bit weird, but I'm putting this on the positive side of the weird scale. It's weird in the best way possible in my book. Now you if you have the 60he, and want to upgrade or change anything, you can get the 60he + board, or just get the full 60he+ kit if you don't have it already.
@@mikailkanar8636 Which would just jack up the price for no reason on the 60 for no real world benefit. So it's a good thing they didn't implement it with the +.
@@-eMpTy- or it might just be an evolution for all the next keyboards they are gonna make, without additional cost. The 80he can't be more expensive than the 2HE or that would not make any sense.
Did you ever think about making low profile hall effect switches? I think it might be better for gaming. The benefit would be that i lf you press a key and travel the whole 4mm way down, rappid trigger could help you don't click the key anymore. But for straving, for example, you wan't to reanable the key as fast as possible. And in this situation you have to wait till the switch is at the top. It would go faster on something like a 3mm swutch. If you think like this low profile switches are just the next logical step from rappid trigger.
The 80HE will have 8k polling rate, will this be a feature aswell for the 60HE even the earlier versions or do we need to buy the new mainboards aswell?
love what you guys are doing at wooting but please get replacement ear pads for your beyerdynamic dt 990 they looking kind of dirty lol you can get replacements from their site or remove them and wash please
Are the problems with the old 60HE posted on the official subreddit or the Discord server got solved or looked at on the new 60HE+? It's very expensive for me to either send it back if there are any problems with the PCB or some stuff just stopped working and worst case scenario is that a replacement part won't fix it. Thanks in advance.
Nah don't worry. The only thing you won't be able to upgrade your 60he to is 8k polling which is essentially useless. The 60he keyboard is already sub 1ms in tach mode. 8k also increases CPU usage, which drops FPS, which also increases latency. The benefit is negligible and could possibly increase your overall latency if you don't have a good PC. You will still be able to get the v2 switches etc separately as well I assume.
So like, 80HE? It's pretty annoying being given a trailer and preparation for the release for it being pulled then left waiting for... how long?? Its already been a month come on
when you do release the 80he i have a few questions. will you make an 80he+ in the future? will there be an aluminum case option? and finally, will you make things for all wooting keyboards to make it more silent? (better case damping, lubed switches, etc.)
So no difference in-between the two in terms of software, correct? Asking so we can assure our XIM community that the HE+ will also work with XIM devices!
I think they will, but as it is a hardware feature, our best chance would be to buy a new 60he pcb compatible with 8k polling and then replacing our old one.
Couldn't this have just been a revision number change rather than model number change? I bet many will make the blind assumption that the 60HE+ has the same new upgrades that the 80HE is bringing.
Yes, but once your buddy upgrades to screw-in stabs and you're like, hey let me do that too, then find out yours doesn't support them, you'd be upset. We like to be transparent about it. S you'd still need to somehow communicate on front end that there is a model difference during purchase, not everyone is as thorough to check every detail.
60He doesn't have enough space on the PCB for an exact same implementation as the 80HE. We need to approach it different to get higher polling. Otherwise, we would've copied pasted.
You basically just made a 2 minute video confusing people that don't understand what you're talking about. You almost confused me, and I do. WE MADE TWO HOLES FOR PEOPLE THAT LIKE MODIFYING THE BOARD WITH THIRD PARTY SPACEBAR SUPPORTS, KNOWN AS STABILIZERS. THIS COMES WITH ALL NEWLY MANUFACTURED BOARDS. It's that easy.
Why not go one step further to reducing confusion and parts differences? Drop the steel plate and make it polycarbonate So then you’d just have a 60HE+ with or without the case.
The PC plate in the plastic case is in our opinion not as good as the steel plate. The steel plate adds weight to the device and adds to the character of the sound. With the PC plate it feels too light.
When i select wooting 60he+ it says its with keycaps but bellow it their is a keycaps Selektion where it says no keycaps i have my own Special ones. Does that mean if i pick this i get a Keyboard without Built in keycaps
@@tmifb9926 I agree, try one of those mice with 8k polling rates and see your cpu usage go through the roof with no noticable change over 4k or even 2k
