@@K.A-87 it doesn't, it HAS TO BE ANALOG. You need to understand how it works, optical and typical mechanical switches don't work the way as they HAVE TO pass certain point for the key to register and unregister.
It's a nice update for people that already have a Huntsman mini. Best thing about the wooting is you get the performance of the best gaming keyboard and customizability of a custom keyboard. I'm waiting for the release of the Tofu Redux so I can customize my Wooting.
I thought the same thing, TKL was gonna be my size for life, however, the mod tap feature makes all that unnecessary. I can actually type and use my arrow keys so much faster without having to move my hands or anything. You should check it out
The Wooting is yet again simply on top, if you are willing to be patient for stock, in the end it's worth it. I can't imagine any pro player switching to something else anytime soon especially when you can save your profile to your Keyboard and go to your esport event.
I have a Razer Huntsman V2 Analog, but I stopped using it because it would not let me use my Xbox Controllers properly on games where I wanna use a controller. Since it’s got an Xbox controller built in; the PC doesn’t know what to do when I had it plugged in. So, this update hurts my soul!
A 60 is pretty useless and the Sheep are finding that out. For gaming either a 75 (adds 1 column and row) or TKL. If "speed" is the measure the duh optical are the fastest. Regarding F-keys I use them non-stop in Call of Duty, and in addition, you can set up your own: Atl+F1 screenshot, Alt+F9 Record, F2 Friends menu, F3 Settings Menu, F4 Main Menu, F5 Launcher Menu, F6 Loadouts .. F10 All Mute, F11 Mic Mute, F12 Channel Mute, and that's not even touching the F keys used or needed in your other apps supporting your Call of Duty stream or recording session.
you know the f row along with pretty much every other key is still there and takes the same exact time as just regularly pressing an f row key without it taking extra mouse space right? has nothing to do with ppl being sheep lmfao (already know what type of person you are off that word alone) most people either just dont need all the extra shit esp on a kb made specifically for gaming bc for typing its pretty bad anyway or know how to rebind keys/add second layers and have the brain power to remember to press one extra key lmfao ,which is also why fkl exist especially with how sought after wkl tkl keyboards are and why 60% rule the gaming and custom kb market is full of 60/65s... yall make it seem like the keys just disappear lmfao
@@coolieee .. I play CoD and as it is there are already many ALT + F-key (2-keys) combos, so you'd need Fn + ALT + F-key (3-keys) which is simply dumb. People saying that they don't use their F-keys playing games .. to that I'd say LEARN THEM! I can't fix dumb people and their profound ignorance of the "games they play all of time!" Also Wooting adding an UNNECESSARY ROW in their 80 vs a 75 nevermind their silly AF positioning of their arrow keys simply begs the question WTF were they thinking??! 🤔
I really am waiting for Wooting to release a 65% or 75% (with blocker) because dedicated arrow are a must as well as a few media/function keys being nice to have. I hate going through layers and macros to set up and do shit. Also, I just got the Mode Envoy in last week and havent had time to build it. Likely gonna take a stab at it later this week. I also still have the Mode Sonnet to build as well😭 So new boards are outta the question for me, but i would end up changing a wooting board into a new case because it makes it feel and looks more premium imo.
@@rubyiwnl Ngl im interested but the drivers are in beta and it's using another software suite. I think it's safe to say Wooting is now established, including their software. For a big part software's what's starting to distinguish all of these keyboards.
Is it that update they released about a month ago? It's more of a semi-rapid trigger, there are still some limitations. Optimum Tech made a video about it titled ''Razer just copied Wooting.'' (I can't post links)
0.1mm actuation is pointless since almost nobody actually uses it at that level, you get miss click's galore and its WAY to sensitive, i remember people talking about that as if it was some kind of selling point compared to steel series 0.2 actuation, like if any human on planet earth could tell the difference between 0.1 of a millimeter
@@coyotex850it's about having options though. It defaults to 0.4 mm which is very responsive and not too sensitive. This 0.4 isn't even possible on the razer
Its may be possible using o rings, just place them around the stem pole. You just need 1.5mm (4mm inner diameter, 7mm outer diameter) orings, im working on a 3d print that reduces the travel distance without reducing the sound
You know damn well they didn't 💀 Took one video from Optimum a month ago to know that, and even if the update is nice, the rest of that keyboard is hot trash ( including thr fact you need Synaps virus 💀 ) compared to the wooting Only downside to Woot is lack of availability, if they solve that, it's jover
Hello , I am mainly playing League of Legends and other MOBAs . Do you think it is worth getting the Wooting ? I don't think it would make a big difference compared to the Razer Huntsman Analog and it wouldn't be noticable because of the nature of my game . But I haven't tried any of these two keyboards , what is your opinion on this ?
Deciding factor: my son's birthday is in three weeks. Winner: Razer. I never imagined two months shipping time for a keyboard. 😳 oh well he'll love it.
I feel like Wooting is really only for professional gamers, streamers, and people who do nothing on PC but play and watch media. The price really isn't terrible, but then again for an average person it's pointless to get another keyboard that won't make you a better gamer (you can argue with that,). The 60% Layout is unusable outside of gaming in my opinion, and I personally love the mechanical feel of the keyboard and the deep sound profile or tactile switches for programming. Anyway, great vid and happy marriage! :D
@@fldom4610 I can't. As a programmer, 60% layout just slows me down. Missing arrow keys are just a pain. I personally like 75%. Still compact, but with all my keys.
