Wow, that sparked excitement in my heart when you quoted: "live by faith and not by sight" that is so easy to forget with social media pumping pictures.

What happens when enough individuals and families within a nation are regenerated, discipled, and baptized? Paul "engaged in politics" by preaching the gospel to the magistrates in front of which he spoke. If a pastor or individual believer is unable and unwilling to do that then they are derelict (probably because they were taught to be that way.) Paul didn't "run for an office" but he confronted those magistrates with the truth of the gospel. Yes pastors, preach the gospel, but don't neglect to do so for those in positions of authority. If and when God changes their heart it will do so much good for so many people. Sadly there are many pastors who only preach the gospel to those within the walls of their churches. I for one have been and will continue to pray that conflict will meet these brothers and sisters at the door of their churches so they have to be involved in the same conflict which we have seen and heard our brethren still have. Just like what happend to MacArthur and James Coates.

Being a Christian means giving Christ lordship over every aspect of your life. How you vote, how you speak on political and moral issues (political issues are moral issues generally speaking) must all be brought under the authority of Christ. How “Christian nationalism” is defined is controversial. Those who promote a top down view in witch Christians seize political power with the intention of enforcing Christian ethics on the populous make the mistake of creating a “kingdom of this world” in my opinion. I think a more reasonable view would be one that includes an understanding of the doctrines of grace. That being that if a nation is to truly be brought under the authority of Christ it’s populous must be, in large part, converted by a divine working of the spirit of God. Since Christians rightly desire to be brought into conformity with the law of God, the resulting changes in the Government of such a nation should reflect that law. Wether of not this will happen at all (before the second coming) depends on one’s view of another controversial subject, Eschatology.
