_Wordpad ist for me the best Text-Editor. Its fast, you can format,_ you can put Pictures in. Great. It has enough functions. I use it nearly for all my texts, which are for me only. To start Word or Libre takes much longer. Its for the eternity not only 9 years ... ;)
Thank you so much for this simple, straightforward video on how to use Wordpad with Windows 7. There are other tutorial videos on Wordpad, however, yours is the best!
I found this for a page break : WordPad does not support inserting page breaks in documents by pressing CTRL+ENTER. This feature is supported in Write, a tool included with Windows 3.x, but is not supported in WordPad. MORE INFORMATION You cannot insert a page break in WordPad. To begin a new page, press ENTER until you reach the beginning of a new page. To view the page layout of a document in WordPad, click Print Preview on the File menu.

Basically, you don't. You have to go to Print Preview and see how many pages you typed. That's all. Then when you are done, click on the x to exit it. I know. I'd tried it.
Is there anyway to make a new page on a document? For ex. if you're writing a story and you make the book cover, how do you make a new page to start the story?
I have a question. I'm using Word Pad for Windows 7. I'm trying to print something important but it's going to take 8 pages. Under Print Preview I'm trying to shrink everything so I only need to use 4 pages. I'm unable to figure out how to do this. You see with Internet Explorer, I can click on the File option and under Print Preview I'm able to change the text from 1% to 100% where it says "Shrink To Fit". I can't find this option in Word Pad so what normally takes only a couple pages is going to take twice as much. Basically I'm looking for a "Shrink To Fit" option like what Internet Explorer has. A google search says there's a "Shrink to Fit" option on Word Pad but I can't find it. One result says to click under "Customize Quick Access Toolbar" and scroll to "More Commands" but I can't find "More Commands". Any help would be awesome!
How to control the measurements of a picture on wordpad? I mean, if I want to make a picture with specific measurements (6cm, etc), how could I? Please answer me, this will help a lot😊
I want to make a document that has 8 sections in it so I can have a picture and print text on the back. Kind of like printing 8 business cards on one sheet. In Wordperfect I did that with tables. How do I do that in wordpad?
one important question , if my document is too long and it goes on two pages but i want to make it just one page how to go for it or how to do it just on one page can you please guide me thank you so much
There are a few ways to help your situation. Firstly, Wordpad will not show you page breaks unless you File > Print Preview, so you will have to go back and forth previewing and adjusting. With that in mind, here's what you can do: (1) Go to File > Page Setup, then decrease the margins. You should not go under 0.5 inches or 1.25 cm so the printer doesn't cut off your text. (2) Decrease the font size of the text. (3) Set the line spacing to 1.0 (in the Home tab in the Paragraph section) and/or remove "Add 10pt spacing after paragraph" (4) Review the document and rewrite sentences to say the same thing, but in less words. (5) Choose a different font for the body of the text. Different fonts have different kerning (space between the letters) and even different-width characters. (6) Go to File > Print, then go into Preferences. Sometimes the printer will give you the option to print two pages on each physical sheet.
I can't get a page break either. Everything is all in one. I have a 140 PAGE manuscript that I need to convert to an rtf file. I don't see any pages. I don't know where the page breaks are~!!!.
@ThaiBokser040 There is no way of knowing when the page is full in Wordpad in earlier versions than Windows 7. Otherwise, go to File > Print > Print Preview if you have Windows 7.
you can go to file ribbon and click on new than you can go to a new page when you click on new page it will ask you to save for the previous one if you want to save than click on save otherwise click on dont save
@@jkcomputerclassess911 *but when i'll click on file ribbon, that means all of things i've written will get lost! have you tried it yourself first? i thought it means erasing everything and receiving a virgin page to restart over.* *I'm confused.*
Please help me, the book i have written on worpad including images i sent to my friend on memory stick, he received it but the images will not show up, why is this?
Sadly, Wordpad doesn't support tables. If you still need a free word processor with a table, though, you can get either: *Online* Use MS Office Word Online: office.microsoft.com/en-us/online/ Google Docs: docs.google.com/ *Software* LibreOffice Writer: www.libreoffice.org/ All three are cross-platform. Let me know if you need anything else. :-)
Hiya! can I just ask a quick simple question? When I type a sentence and when pressing enter it skips not to the next like right below but 2 lines down... I tried many options (if not all) and nothing seems to change to make it work.. Despite of a limited and poor range of options in this program, I'm pretty sure it is possible thouth, but I just don't know how to do it :-( Do you know? Could you tell? Thx in advance! Cheers
didn't even cover the thing I'm looking for, how to move the ruler. my one is smack in the middle so all I've got is about 4" on the right side of the typing area. Ive tried everything but the ruler slide can't be moved. I've tried moving the brackets, top one, bottom one, both together. I've got 6.3 version of wordpad.
I am like so stupid? Really? As of right now this video, in its lifetime, has received twelve (12) comments, and none of them (0) have been removed by me. And I don't remove comments like these because I like to show people trolls in their natural habitat, incapable of proper punctuation and spelling... By the way, comments are to give criticism, not to insult people with pitiful combinations of pixels on the screen. Now that you know, have a nice day! :)
Unfortunately, Wordpad does not support word counting. You will need to either use a program that does or find a website online that will do it for you.
