I have seen 3 of your videos on this topic and I really like your content, however I am still not getting the point what if I don’t want to upload 3 images? can you show us a way to upload just 1 image and how to handle 375 to 2560 with help of srcset and sizes, which custom sizes we need to register, is wordpress default sizes are enough etc.
hi Imran will it be better to upload images directly as webp to wordpress, or to use a plugin that does the convertion from png to webp? Is there a difference in approach ?
All these speed plugins do the same thing on my google page speed scores. I get fast desktop speeds but average mobile speeds. I constantly get serve images in next gen formats. This is cause safari doesn't support Webp files. But optimole uses Avif so this should fix it but it didn't.
That might be due to the reason you have enabled the Best format option, if you had that enabled then it would select the best format. Disable that option and all the images will be served in Next gen format only(for browsers that supports it)
Hello, does it delete jpg and png images from the server after converting? Does it have to stay on the server? If it doesn't delete it and we delete it manually, will there be a problem? I would be very happy if you answer. Thanks for this information.
Hi sir, i use ACCELERATOR, that's make my website really so fast, but the images take a long time to appear, it's ok to use this plugin with my old one(accelerator)
Is this still the recommended path for converting my existing images to webp? What happen if these guys pack up and leave, what happens to our site? Not sure I like the idea of relying on a connected service? In lieu of this, what would you recommend for converting all the existing media library to webp?
Good question. That is what I use now thanks to Imran. There is one big advantage with Optimole which I used the paid version before on my photosite; the Retina check box. Bulk resize as far as I know has no dual image size switch. What I don't like with Optimole is remote caching one more place to think about on top of LS cache etc etc.
Question about the metadata stripping: my copyright information is removed? 😢 If you entered image info through Wordpress media library, such as alt text, description, caption, etc that would still be there, correct? If not, I can’t see using it due to accessibility issues. Thanks.
Thanks, If the free version limits you to 5k views per month, what happens when you exceed 5k views? Does it decompress and deconvert the images?? Also, if you uninstall the optimole plugin and want to use something else, do the images it converted decompress/deconvert in that scenario too?? Thanks
I did the install and when i clicked to signup, it says now that it only does 1000 visitors per month. I just started my site and have 260 views this month. Is there a newer or better app that does the compression that allows more views? 5000 would be perfect. When i get to 5000 a month, i'm sure the cost would be fine. But i have 260 and no sales yet. Thank you for your help!! I love your videos!! You are so informative. So many people just blah blah. You really tell the facts! :)
I have the SiteGround Optimizer plugin, however it seems like my speed performance is still poor on mobile devices. I have enabled the image compression and WebP. I just downloaded Optimole and my images are now blurry. Can anyone recommend how to fix this issue?
SGoPtimizer is only good for Non-Elementor sites, in fact only good for sites that just use WP alone. You may need to check your settings for the blurred images. Difficult for anyone to help without seeing the site.
Thanks for the video! Maybe i missed it, i do have one question. What would happen if i remove an image from my website? Does it also automatically remove the optimised version of the image from Optimole servers?
@@websquadron I didn't try it either bruh. I was just wondering becayze their free option seems tempting. I'm actually launching a directory at the moment and I'm looking for an user-friendly and free image optimizer for now. Which ones do you think are the best options ?
Imran, it would be great if you made a video about how to disable the annoying and invasive image optimizer notices Elementor keeps pushing on their users. For instance, when in Elementor Pro, or even in the Media library, Elementor keeps displaying ads about their image optimizer plugin, even though my images are already optimized. It's incredibly annoying, to the point where I'm seriously thinking about using another page builder, even though I really like their solution. I reached out to them recently about how to disable these notices, but they said it's not possible at this time. I know it's feasible though with some custom code added to the functions.php file. It would be awesome if you made a video about this persistent problem and how to address it. If we raise a big enough stink about it, they may stop with their aggressive ads and behaviors. Otherwise, they're just going to keep harassing their customers. In any case, I love your videos and they're incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for all you do!
All good, but as with WEBP images AVIF images are not supported by versions of Safari which are pre Version 16, which was released July of 2022. I think people under estimate how many people are still on older versions of Safari. On iOS you're okay. But on desktop and Safari, which is basically the same market share as Chrome, it's a problem. And there are plenty of people using older versions. Depends on your market and your demographic as to how much of an issue this is. Surprised this isn't discussed more.
There was a time that I used to include links and then people accused me of just promoting for promotion sake, so I keep it clean now. Don't worry - the views and continued growth matters more :)
