As a PM I definitely recommend taking a course to learn more about the ‘formal’ aspects of it! Since you already have experience you can also look at getting your PMP which is a great credential to have for future roles!

My ears definitely perked up when I heard "the issues are on the board" and was like wait is she in jira?? It sounds like they actually have you functioning as a product manager for this project, rather than a project manager, so that could be another area to look into in your career exploration. Most companies have Financial Operations teams and you'd be a shoo in!

Hey! I'm also a teleworking gov employee in the DMV area and (aspiring) content creator 🤗I love your whole vibe and the honesty behind what it's like working for the government. Lots of improvement projects. I'm a communications/public affairs specialist and can confirm it's all very different from what most people would expect from someone with an English degree. Also, working out after the workday is the best way to decompress and reset so you don't feel like you're just constantly at work.

Haaa I just said that last week. Here in NYC its completely dark at 4:24pm LOL Also you do look super cozy. I would encourage you to workout first thing in the morning before you do anything just to be sure to get it out of the way. I use to run 5:30am to be done by 6. Hope that helps! Great video doll!

what you describe is like my job! I'm a Product Manager and I work with engineers and designers writing out feature specs and managing the development process from idea to fully launched app. It's a job with a lot of opportunity in every field. You should def get a formal cert in project management or if you want to lean into the tech space, I recommend learning about Agile Scrum and getting a Product Owner cert!

I really hope you won't take this the wrong way... but I'm so happy to see a Day in my life vlogger who isn't another skinny girl that eats salads and shakes in every video. And I don't mean any rudeness towards skinny girls either but it's nice to see a mid-sized person who looks like me that I can relate to. I love these types of videos but almost every one of the ones I follow are just at a body size I could never be, even if I starved myself. I'm just not built that way. I just love that Selena is a healthy girl, who works out, eats normal food, and looks amazing, and is my body type. It's rare to see in this community sometimes.
