In this Physics video in Hindi for class 11 and B.Sc. we evaluated the work done by an ideal gas in isothermal process in thermodynamics. An isothermal process is that process in which the temperature of the system remains constant. During the derivation of the formula for work done by a thermodynamic system during an isothermal process we found that work done is equal to nRT ln (V2/V1) or nRT ln (P1/P2), where n is the no. of moles of the gas present, R is the gas constant, T is the temperature of the gas in absolute scale, P1 and V1 are the initial pressure and volume, P2 and V2 are the final pressure and volume.

Respected Sir, (In work done in Quasi Static process ) You assumed pressure to be constant first for small chnage in V but in end you integrate the P.dv from V1 to V2 taking same pressue as constant for whole pressure.......but in this process you are pressure as constant on for dv change in v not for whole process........will you pls elaborate...

Please tell me, why we considered p constant in both diagrams but not volume? PV=k. So, if V increase P Should be decrease. Please 🙏 explain it clearly.

Q does some work and is increasing internal energy of the system, so temperature is increasing, as it is isothermal process, system releases its energy to keep temperature constant, hence you can say, Q is converted to work... I think so, i am not fully sure with my logic...

Pressure also proportional to the amount of particle ..if pressure isnt increasing then the ammount of particles must be increasing along with volume keeping the pressure constant
