Do check out the rest of their songs though, all of them are amazing. I'm not a female, so the lyrics don't always land for me. However the effort has mad respect/appreciation from me, because I can't deny great music when I hear it. Amazing music and confidence is what you'll find. They're heavy in my rotation. I’m not sure how accurate that video is cause Hikaru is not going to join XG. This has been confirmed so many times. Jurin and Harvey met during their modeling career not in XGALX. The inaccuracies on that video are so off. I would take that video with a grain of salt.

Glad you’re checking out more of their back story. The best one to look at is their official documentary series, or you can watch the trailer to start. It’s an emotional roller coaster when you see what they went through ( recordings from 2017). It’s raw and you understand why we are so protective and proud of these girls. You could just do the intro here and watch the series if you want on your own time ( they are 30 minutes to an hour long each). Thank you so much for learning and appreciating XG. Alphaz on deck!

Gotta watch the Xtra Xtra documentary series to really appreciate their grit and determination. I was amazed when 3 of the members were on the verge of being cut from the final 15 candidates. Woulda been so easy for them to just bow out, but they double downed and worked even harder. Seriously, the docu series had me crying at times.

Some of the info in that documentary are wrong. Many of the XG training videos are in AVEX Tokyo building 😂😂.. the recording for the move was at YG. They didnt even received training from YG either.

The beginning years of training they were in competition against each other along with dozens of other trainees that came and went. 2 years later only 10 trainees survived and picked to make one group. As a group they trained with each other for another 3 years till eventually only 7 was chosen to be XG

Avex, Japanese biggest music rabel started this X-gal project, has appointed JKOP to the head producer of XG. As J-pop has been focused on internal market for a long time and Avex wished to changed this situation. Avex put huge budget on XG to create global girls group . Initial training was held in Japan for building up their basic skills like dancing, rapping and singing. As you can see that they have solid skill for everything which required to be a first class artist. Afterwards, they chose Korea as a market for promotion, channel to global market. That’s why some people misunderstand that XG is K-pop but they clearly define and manifest themselves as X-pop. They are from Japan but not ordinary J-pop nor K-pop but x-pop which keeps learning from good from other music genre and keep evolving. No categories of countries or boundary for XG!!! They are phenomenal!

The claim that XG is associated with or has received training from YG is false. The only connection between them is that XG used YG's dance facility for practice and featured it in one of their pre-debut videos. Additionally, Hikaru was eliminated when XG's member count was reduced from 10 to 7 and will not be joining the group in the future. Unfortunately, the video you are watching is filled with speculation and lacks factual accuracy.

AVEX is XGALX's parent company AND has been YG's Japanese production partner for Japanese concerts for decades INCLUDING Blackpink's most recent world tour's Japan stops. Without that connection, XG would never get to train in YG's facilities.

You clearly didn't pay attention to the video's claims. It has nothing to do with Avex being YG's distribution partner in Japan. The video creator falsely claimed that XG and its Korean-based label, XGALX (AVEX sub-label in SK), received K-pop training at YG, when in fact, Simon had already rented their own facility upon arriving in Korea. Facts matter when making claims. Misleading information creates controversies. He insinuated that YG had a hand in creating XG, which is false.
