Precisely! Especially her pittie . They're absolutely my faves. Don't even get me started on those sweet creatures 🤗 NOTHING makes me happier than knowing that they've gone to a good, loving home 🤍
@Jen-Chapin didn't he come from the group that were supposed to be beagle mixes? I know he's from Oklahoma. I have a purebred frenchie and a mix farm dog. They are both amazing but the mix is better behaved
I love the idea of more spend the day with me videos! I work non traditional hours and I love spending the day with you when I’m lonely while everyone else is working/ at school 😂
I work from home - 10 years now - I get ready. I used not to and eventually I noticed myself slacking in other areas too. Like not eating as healthy and not walking or exercising. I get ready, minimally, and it helps how I feel about myself through the day. 😊 bonus - if anyone stops by I don’t look like I’m homeless anymore!!
Definitely watch Shiny Happy People. It is about Bill Gothard and the IBLP people (Duggar, Bates, etc). I just finished Jill Duggar's book Counting the Cost. It was fascinating. Her dad is... a horrible human being. It is unbelievable that they treat her so poorly when her own brother is in jail for horrific child CSA viewing.
My sister has worked from home for like 15 years, before it was the norm. She gets " ready" for work every day as if she as going into an office. She said it keeps her days feeling normal. She never wanted to slip into the no makeup pajamas thing because she was afraid she would get depressed.
You should watch that whole series that Leah Remini did on Scientology. It was eye-opening. I don’t know where it is streaming now. I watched it when it was on TV years ago.
It is so nice to see someone else have to make multiple dinners for their family. I am so tired of struggling with this. I *should* be eating low cholesterol, lower carbs due to bloodwork. My husband is doing keto. My teen is an active dancer (15 hours a week) so she needs a lot of protein. My younger child has sensory issues/ASD and is the pickiest eater in the universe. It is so nice to not be alone in the struggle.
Half the time I get "ready" for my work day and the other half it's just a quick shower and hair in a bun. It's easy to fall into a rut so I do make sure to switch it up. I love your work with me/day in the life videos
Lol yes I totally have those days that I feel like a hobo. I am guilty of wearing pjs to the bus stop but I aim to get my face put together before logging in for the day.
I wish colon broom wasn’t so expensive to just try! I never subscribe to anything before I know if it’s a good fit for me. I wish they had a sample to try😢
I wfh as well & getting ready has definitely been a challenge for me. I normally have on workout clothes & hair scarf on. But I do notice that when I actually put on jeans & a top & brush my hair I am more productive. I didn’t know know Dunkin & grocery stores did pup cups I thought that was only a Starbucks thing. Yes would love the weekly vlog 🙌🏽
Hey Jen, I am a fair haired girl as well. It is life changing to tint your eye lashes and eyebrows. You can get ready so much quicker in the morning when you don’t have to fill in your eyebrows. On days when you can’t be bothered going to a huge effort its the best x
I am glad to see you drinking LMNT. I’ve been drinking it since last Black Friday. Really love the Watermelon, Orange Salt and the Chocolate Salt. Try it warm, it’s like hot cocoa.
You can only do so much when work piles up. You’re doing great juggling 2 jobs plus being a mom and wife. Love your videos. Did Murphy even taste that burger? Reminds me of my dog. Milo was so excited to get his pup cup. Just the cutest.
Girlll I’m right there with you…. No matter how hard I try to adult and get my life together it never seems to work out 🤷🏽♀🤷🏽♀🤷🏽♀… oooh yess pls love your vlogs. Would love to see a weekly one 😊😊😊
I work from home and my job never requires Zoom calls or anything, but I still put on a bit of makeup and do my hair (ok, a ponytail or braid) every day. At first I didn't, but mentally I feel better when I take the time. It helps me separate work from "being home", if that makes sense.
I need to take my frenchie in the car more often but she is a wild child. If she's not jumping around, she wants to be in my face. Not good when im driving lol
I’ve seen a lot of people using that make up by Merit it’s supposed to be super natural looking and easy to apply with just a few steps. I haven’t made the effort to purchase it yet, but I think I’m going to do the simple fact that it’s a timesaver, and it gives you a fresh look without a ton of make up on. I’m such a creature of habit changing over something like a make up routine is getting an old dog to do the new tricks. 😂 but I’m gonna do it.
Cults and cult-like religions has been a fascination for me for a very long time. In 7th grade, a Holocaust survivor came in & spoke to my class which led me to read more about the Holocaust and try to figure out how the Nazis got so many people to do such horrific things...that led me to cults like the People's Temple & Branch Davidians then Christian fundamentalists, Mormons etc etc . "Shiny Happy People" about the IBLP and the Duggar family is pretty good.(Amazon Prime) When you're done with the Christian Fundamentalists, Scientology is a fascinating rabbit hole to jump in to. Leah Remini's series "Aftermath" ( also on Amazon & Vudu- maybe Apple TV as well) is a good place to start. And while I understand the psychology of how these things happen, I still can't imagine how one lives under such control. You're not alone-- It's beyond fascinating.
I just want to clarify that Jen was referencing the FLDS documentaries and that group is not part of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (you referred to us as the Mormons). I know it's common for people to lump all of the break off "LDS" groups as part of the actual church but they are not. Also, many people think we are kooky but like any other group of people, there are fringe extremists but most of us are just normal people trying to live our religion and do the best we can to be good, decent, honest people. No joke, we're not all weirdos. 😂
Ugh the dreaded iron supplements! My son has to (I should say is supposed to be) taking iron supplements...slow release. He currently has 3 DVTs, due to APLS. But seriously nothing helps w the constipation! Which means he end up not taking it on n off. Since it's not reasonable to give him laxatives n send him to school. Iron is truly tough...I never could take multivitamin w iron during pregnancy, without having to go to the hospital. Wish there were better options, thanks for sharing.
“don’t forget about me!” - Milo😂 edit: I’m also into all those religious cultish documentaries. It’s so sad how people can be so indoctrinated and brainwashed and I am so happy for anyone who gets away from any religion.
I said the same about my work this week. I did so much and worked so hard but today I came into feeling behind. Love the pups so happy Murphy got a burger lol. You look amazing btw. Hugs friend Elissa modesto cali @elissa_tc
