When you say 'working a job is pointless,' people don't really stop to think it through and argue back logically. They just jump on you because they're conditioned to tear down anything that challenges what they've been taught. Suddenly, these same people become super smart, hyper-critical thinkers the moment you question a belief that's outside their usual mindset. It's funny because you never see them apply that kind of deep thinking or skepticism to their own beliefs about work and having kids.
