I have a set of SP1 17" on my A70 supra, and find it hillarious when people call them reps. I think they look a lot cleaner than the works especially with the centre caps which finish the look off much better, the recessed pierce bolts look a lot cleaner too but obviously a lot of people prefer the busy look of the works. I had an aversion to buying works purely based on how elitist people seem to be about them. At the end of the day they are all just wheels, and people act like putting them on a car somehow transforms it into a "sick build" which rubs me the wrong way but ah well
I was initially going to order a set of SP1 for my 997, but friends were all like, "Nah you have to go with the Meister, the Meister has more status, etc." Like yourself, I personally prefer the looks of the SP1 and think the Meister is a bit busy. Did end up going with the Meister in the end though and am still happy with my decision. For me, as long as it's a real wheel and not a made in China cast replica brand, I don't really care.
Most all wheels are replica of 60's, 70's style wheels from the past, as long as there not fake wheels looking as if there're 3pc looking 1pc wheels or putting label/stickers as if they are.
As a prior owner of a set of SSR Professor SP1 wheels (on my 370Z), I think I prefer the Meisters a little more...I think my next set will be a set of S1s (but now for my STI)!!
What would be a best set of Work Meisters S1 for a bbk q50 ? I’m wanting to go with 19/9.5 or 19/10 all around but not sure on offsets ? Any recommendations plz? 😊
