Workbench Check your MFT (style) worktop.
A block that makes it easy to check whether the holes in your worktop are positioned precisely at the right distance.
The block can be made from a piece of MDF where the three holes are 0, 96 and 135.76 mm. drilled. It is necessary to be able to measure and mark with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. and preferably better.
You can also buy a stop block from UJK with the three holes, made very precisely on a CNC machine.
An imprecise worktop cannot be used, it does more harm than good and should be discarded.
If there are only a few holes in one corner of the tabletop that are problematic, they can be marked and the rest of the tabletop used until it needs to be replaced anyway.
After the video has been posted, I have carried out a thorough test of the tabletop I myself use, all 77 holes in the 96 mm pattern have been tested with two sets of benchdogs and the stop block from UJK. In the first test I used two benchdogs with Ø 19.83 mm. and here all holes were approved, in the second test I used two benchdogs with Ø 19.93 mm. here, 1 hole was found that could not be used and 15 holes where it was tighter to insert a bench dog than it should be. I think the 15 holes can be used as they are, but I have marked one hole as unusable. If someone does a similar test, you are more than welcome to write a comment with the result.
