In this video I am making a new workbench for the workshop. What made the workbench special to me was that I could use reclaimed wood to make the top. I like the idea that this wood would have rotted away and now it serves a purpose again and will live much longer.
I don't have enough work areas in the shop and this new bench will create much needed space.
After Thoughts
I realised while editing that when I removed the nails some of them were so rusted that when trying to extract them they broke off. At the time I did not think anything of it since I forgot that I would have to cut the beams to length. In the future if I have a similar situation I will try to remember to mark the areas where nails broke off so that I do not cut through them.
This is also the biggest glue up that I have ever done and I will definitely need stronger clamps and will have to rethink the clueing process when doing it again.
