My son went through a bad patch a few years ago, lost his partner and child.. he lost his mojo, eventually he started to get a bit of self respect back by working for a food delivery company..this gave him a new perspective on life, and me .. Unfortunately he died 3 years ago... They ain't just lowly paid service workers they all have a back story, respect them
@SimonGhostRileyTF141
@SimonGhostRileyTF141 3 года назад
I'm a driver for royal mail and Im always running into other delivery drivers from companies like Amazon and Hermes. Always stop and have a chat with them and some of their stories of what they've come through is unbelievable. Sometimes the only jobs you can get it self employed delivery driving (if their lucky enough to have a license). I've always found one thing in common with them all and that's that they might not have just had it tough in the past but their also some of the hardest and dedicated workers of this time. Genuinely nice people and they'll always go out their way to help even if it means they're going to suffer somehow.

"I struggle with English" Whenever a foreign person struggles with English or apologises for not knowing the right words, I always reasure them that most English people struggle with English. And their English is always better than any attempt I could make to speak their language.

@@socialising6037 (To quote you) Highlighted reply Socialising 2 hours ago English had to do an English test for a carpentry course. Other moving to the UK should have to do English tests to live here fairs fairs (end quote) Using "English" as an opening word means you're saying the language itself had to do an English test, which isn't possible. "Other moving to the UK" - other what? Maybe you could've used "others" or "other people" otherwise this sentence doesn't make sense. "fairs fairs" - the first "fairs" is a contraction of "fair is" and as a result you need an apostrophe between the R and S, also the second "fairs" makes no sense... You meant "fair's fair" Also a comma or ellipses (suggestng there is more to it that is being omitted) between "tests to live here" and "fair's fair" would help. (example with comma) should have to do English tests to live here, fair's fair. or (example with ellipses) should have to do English tests to live here... Fair's fair. And a full stop at the end. Have you ever been to Spain for example? Have you ever noticed the amount of Brits living there? How many had to pass a Spanish test to live there? How many countries demand people take an exam in their common language to live in that country? But aside from all that, how are you doing at banging nails into wood? Or did you fail the carpentry exam and this is just bitterness you're expressing?

As a fast food worker, I will say that it can get quite stressful under certain circumstances. Sometimes we have drive-thru time limits we must reach, we lack the proper amount of employees, we have people complaining about things we cannot control, etc. This stress usually leads to people like myself sounding rude through the tone of my voice, despite me not intending it on being that way. Usually if someone is having a harder day (let's say they get their order wrong or something has happened), I typically try my best to handle the situation appropriately. A mother came in the other day and asked for a bag of ice for her daughter who hurt her arm outside. Of course, I gave her one. But I took the extra step and bought them both a cookie for their troubles. They thanked me and I knew then that I was serving good customer service. While we may get stressed and may sound rude unintentionally (or maybe intentionally depending on the person), we always try our best to make the best out of the job that we have. A lot of people can't handle fast food, and it's understandable. Moral of the story, I definitely think that this representative did a fantastic job given the certain circumstances. You mentioned that he was doing both dine-in and drive-thru, and if he was doing it alone, that alone in itself is awful. Props to him for keeping his head up high and giving you the service that every customer needs and deserves. Thank you so much for being understanding and posting this video.

I've said this for years, we appreciate heros such as firefighters/police etc. But there is a waiting list for those jobs and people want to do them. The unsung hero for me is a bloke who gets up everyday, goes to a factory job he hates on low pay without moaning and just gets on with it to feed his kids, and pay tax to pay for hero policemen/firefighters etc. Those blokes never get a mention, but without them you wouldn't have emergency services etc.

I worked at McD’s. it’s an entry level job that pays bills till you can get a proper career. There are some that still work there years on that are happy to plod tho. Each to their own.

McDs in France has such good training for the staff that loads of places hire you if they see that on your CV. I’m not sure how that is anywhere else in the world

@@VidzMisc I don’t even mention it. It’s an entry level job that I did when I left school to pay for a car. I was an idiot at that age and it was still easy to do keeping ppl happy and keeping things moving. Very low bar to hit in the UK

Full respect is all they ask for, they definitely don't deserve the abuse they can receive from people who are simply ignorant. 👍

Hes a legendary prick you mean.Loves the sound of his own uneducated bullshit and the attention online.He loves to aggravate and cause disruption just for that attention,mostly the cops are the target of his idiocy.He thinks they speak 5 different languages in Africa,there are 100s just in Nigeria alone.Obviously people work minimum wage jobs because they have no other choice given their formal education or life circumstances. I did it for 20 yrs due to mental health issues even though I had 2 degrees, definitely wouldn't be anyones career choice unless a part time job for a student.
