Thanks for sharing Josh, I love the series I'm working on clearing some land and fence lines clean them up make them look pretty again. Your videos are very informative and helpful to me, I enjoy them all God Bless yall stay safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love to watch big machines put to work, have seen pro’s doing worse job than you! For a beginner you have good coordination, and great watching iniciative, positivity, vision and hard work going forth hand in hand! Shure beats all that destruction we see every day in the TV 📺! Living in the countryside is awesome 👏
@@4KidsandaFarm Ah...just getting pissed off at the government..paying farmers to put ground into CRP...letting others clear land and take the expense of that off of their taxes.
Josh, I live in North Central Florida, which is commonly known as the "Lightning Capital of the World" and the pine trees here are very bad to draw lightning. We've had a couple of them on our little old 2+ acres be struck by lightning. If I had my way, they'd be gone, but it's expensive to have them removed. Of course, the ones that were struck by lightning died -- so they had to come down!
Thanks Josh I enjoyed the editing in this video, you have a good narrative style going on. How many more cows can your land support now? It looks like you have spare capacity already and lots more to come.

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I think you would be amazed at how much of the vegetation they would eat, the pigs would plow, then remove stumps after you have harvested meat, which I believe you said you were making the area for, meat production.

I appreciate the good footage and information. I wish that you would have mentioned what type machines were used. If anyone can identify and relay, I'd appreciate it! Thank you.
Hey Josh 🇺🇸 looks like you are getting better on the excavator everyday I'm sure you've enjoyed this very much I know I would have great Vlog 🇺🇸 I enjoy watching all your Vlogs 🇺🇸.... WOOOOOO ! 🇺🇸
Nice work guys! I feel your pain on trying to film. We did a septic install today and I used 4 different devices plus had to run equipment. It was very challenging to say the least. I just hope the video or videos turn out good for how much effort it took to do.
hello good day .i try to watch your show every day i am a 22 year old young man who love farming .am trying to buy mi self 2 cows from i was 16 .still not giving up am from jamaica but now i am working in the Cayman island trying to start my farm ..keep up the good work 👍
Hard work Josh. How are you going to keep it clear of all the new growth in the spring. Most of that will have seeded itself, and ill be hard work to eradicate those pesky weeds. Hi from Torquay South Devon uk. Woooo
I bet you get better weather over there, we get plenty of rain, i was brought up on a farm and i love watching your vidios, you have some big projects on the go.😊
Looks like a lot of scrub brush. Totally worth clearing out. We've got about 10 acres of that, but keep it trimmed for deer habitat... although its tempting to turn it into hay 😄
In this situation a loader with a rake would be far faster and cleaner. Lots of dirt doing it this way. Once all the stump are gone, use a harrow to cut up the remaining sticks and what not
Josh, Did you create the background music in all of your vids? Always wondered since it's similar in style to your intro And love the B Roll footage. I don't think most people understand how time consuming it is to set up and shoot one segment. Woooooo!
Glad to see ya getting it done bro great job and vid 👍.you have a great evening and have a adult beverage for me as well.then post a thumb nail whith ya setting on the porch drinking a cold one whith the sunset in the rear and say relaxing after a long day .having a cold one thinking what's next lol godbless bud
You're doing an incredible job clearing your land. It was fun to watch those big trees being cleared. Beautiful view from your deck too. Enjoyed your new music. Thanks for another great video.
so you think a brush hog can run over 2 ft tall stumps on a cutover piece of land? Dream on my friend....we're pulling out 2000 lb stumps here....not sure why folks "nay say" everything I do....I promise I'm not an idiot

Could you not have used animals to help clear the area first? Seems like a rather aggressive method to clear the land. Pigs and goats would do a great job of it. It also means all that woody material has gone into the topsoil and you have disturbed the topsoil. Could you not go in and chop the trees and woodchip them? If you ever need to get stumps out clean and you have a 360 that big, get a curved hook made up. Much cleaner way to rip the stumps out. That big bucket makes a mess.
How do you contain these land clearing animals? How many pigs and how many goats and how many years would it take? 200 goats and 50 years? You're taking for granted this land was smooth and nice before we started...Joel Salitans entire pork operation is on an area this big...who's gonna buy these pigs? Too much RU-vid and not enough experience causes these suggestions to surface...It would take $30k in fencing alone...ever see someone building fence in dense brush? Nope...and ya never will. Follow the channel and you'll see...all the pastures on this farm are less than 4 years old...already no fertilizer required...follow me to learn how to build your soils...what I do works my friend

Hey Josh, in this video you are talking a year to three years ahead. Have you sat down with a map of the property and then determined priorities and budgeted accordingly? Certainly sounds like it and I was wondering how you determine your priorities? What's the focus? Finish one area perfectly and move on or start an area and come back to it?
I think I would just push all that debris to the downhill side and let it rot along the edge, then come back with the excavator and pick through it, if you wanted ? Many ways to skin a cat I guess.

We are in the process of doing the same thing, clearing 12 acres for a cow/goat pasture, excavator will be clearing in the morning. Plan to have Tifton 85 spriged, hope to have cows on the pasture by next summer, area we are clearing is More dense and has larger trees.each one the excavator pushes over the big ones then digs out the root and puts the trees whole in a burn pile.only trees we are keeping are the big oaks, some of the oaks are 80 to 100 ft high, over 150 yrs old, taking out all other trees including all pine trees.
I just want to load up the new D-5 and the 320 and come help ya, not that you need help, just to join in the fun. Our pine trees make for lousy shade around 7500 feet
