I’ve learned three things today. 1. Cowboying is very dusty work. 2. Heating brands aren’t done over a campfire anymore and 3. Nothing cuter than a little buckaroo and his pony.

Ranches still use fire we use it in Oklahoma but most the time it’s Wendy here and we do get to put it over a fire

Hello there. That dust must play havock with their eyes. I know myself about this. I used to build dry stone walls for keeping livestock in. And in the summer months your eyes were full of dust and dirt.

Just branded for 2 days on 2 ranches on calves from February talk about a work out. In Wyoming we don’t have a lot of help so we brand when we finish calving. Not all outfits up here do that but these 2 ranches do.
