More About Mariama ✨
Mariama is a Master's in City Planning and Master's in Business Administration double candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Simultaneously, she is Chief of Staff of Ami Colé (@byamicole) - a clean beauty brand backed by VC for melanin-rich skin. At MIT, Mariama has been a Morningside Academy for Design Fellow and a recipient of the Dean's Fellowship. She serves as Co-Founder and Co-President of the Sloan Design Club, VP of Events with the Africa Business Club (@mitsloanabc), and an active member of the Black Business Student Association (@blackatsloan).
Previously, Mariama was a Fulbright-EU Schuman researcher who studied how agencies in the city of Milan supported migrant communities, specifically through the prism of human-centered design. Previously, Mariama spent most of her career as a Social Services Program Manager at Bloomberg Associates, the prob-bono advisory arm of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Foundation.
Mariama received a BA in Political Science with honors from Williams College. She is Harlem-born, a travel enthusiast, and is passionate about supporting marginalized communities globally.
