Yooo! I've been cooking 30 years and just got the opportunity of a lifetime as the chef for a public golf course. Thank you Erik! I was raised by parents who work in the service industry. My wife and I are both in the service industry. Down in Corpus Christi/ Port Aransas. We go through tough times as the work is hard because we aim to please, but we also meet some incredible people. I met a gentleman named Patrick last week noticed the Erin Hills logo on his shirt, told him about Lawsonia he will be heading there next summer now! I went to Lawsonia with my wife and son and had the time of our life. Because of your video! Thanks for showing the other side brother!

Erik, you are just such a goofball but seriously enjoy the perspective being presented here. I think golfers need to watch this as a reminder of everything it takes for them to go out there and play. So many people have to contribute in order for you to have a pleasant day before you even wake up.

I spent my summers in college working at the local golf course and some of those days were unbelievably grueling. Cutting cups at 5am in complete darkness and 95% humidity, edging bunkers and sprinkler heads in the hot sun, weedeating creek banks for days on end. The rare day that i got to just hop on a zero turn and mow rough all day were some of the happiest of my time there. Weirdly, i kind of miss it sometimes

I recently started a job at a golf course as a greens keeper. All I am doing is bunkers and mowing rough and basic tasks but I love it so far. I came from about a decade of residential and commercial landscaping and feel like i found a whole new career that i enjoy much more. Looking forward to everyday even if they just keep me on bunkers. Just love being on the course and the early shift and getting off early in the day is awesome.

As a country club caddie from the mid 70’s to 2000, you did a nice job. Relax your shoulders, you look like a newbie with your shoulders all scrunched up. And thank god you didn’t carry the huge leather bags we did. You had what we called Sunday bags. Two of those was like a day off!
