👍👍got a couple 3306's over here,, one in a retired cougar 2.. and another in a retired dump truck..they are good engines, like many other's.. but anyway, thanks for all you do with these tractors...and the videos 👍👍👊
That disk does a nice job breaking open a field. It would be really sweet if it had some transport wheels to allow for it to be taken on the road. I have a similar type offset disk only mine is only 9-10 foot cutting width. And like yours it’ll turn pretty much anything under, making a field totally covered in 6’ vegetation to bare dirt in a single pass. My disk is probably 25’ long and has an axle with 2 drop legs, with a spindle on each side of both legs allowing 4 wheels to be raised by a single cylinder. The disc gangs on it are probably 12-13 feet long and are at a fairly sharp angle. Mine is a Cook brand that was built in Coffeyville Kansas back in the early eighties. I look forward to you all’s videos. Great work and content.
Thank you! I really love these stubble disks. We have a 12 ft Towner stubble disk with wheels which is on our turbocharged AC 440 and It also does a great job of turning over the soil. I am happy to see another stubble disk enjoyer 😄
Those disc or plows are hard to turn with no hydraulics. You basically have to turn opposite of the direction the front gangs are dished and they will go deep ! 👍
It will last a long time if you don't pull super hard all the time. If you buy a tractor that has pulled a laser pan or has been pulling a ripper all its life, then most likely its transmission is going out. If it has moderately low hours and has been pulling chisel and drills and other farm equipment its probably going to be in good working order. It's basically an older truck transmission.
The disk doesn't have wheels so we can't lift it but we can close it. Dad did close it when the tractor would hop, it's easier to leave the disk open at the angle you like so you are disking at the same depth.
Nice video guys she sounds great, ur right the 3306 is a super strong engine, so nice to see and hear tractor without looking at the hood or hearing goofy music as some folks do,cheers bro.
@@alspeers6931 Thanks speers! I really do love the 3306. I wasn't a huge fan at first but that engine has never given us any problems and just sounds awesome. Great pulling engine!
