Showing an Ikea GALANT T-Leg in full working order. T-Leg bought around 2013. These are NOT instructions. Reminder: Accuracy not guaranteed. These are NOT instructions. Do NOT try this yourself.
Thank you so much for making this video! I bought this desk 2nd hand and couldn't figure out how to adjust height for the life of me! Easy when you know how, haha!
Long shot, can you tell me how the bottom “foot” piece attaches to the leg? I bought one off marketplace and one of the legs was completely taken apart
I have a question, I've saw that on the pre assembled Galant desks these are mounted to a metal frame, is it possible for these to be mounted directly to the table top?
Model110SASS From my experience with GALANT desks, the answer is probably no. The bolt at the top of the A- and T-legs that I have screw into the leg -- they fit through predrilled holes in the metal frame. I have a VIKA/Table Bar table where the legs are mounted directly to the table top though.
Hi :) ! You can tell me if the leg can be cut ~2-4cm (in order to shorten the height of the desk) ? After that I want to put some rolls to the legs. You have an idea about this ? Have a nice day :)
The Ikea.com website says the min height for the A-leg is 60 cm, max is 82 cm. Sounds like you want it to be even shorter than 60 cm? Sorry, I've never done any metal working so don't know how to go about this. I saw a leg with roller, the KRILLE, under the custom tables section though, if you're interested.
I always wondered, why is there a gap between the frame and tabletop? Why would they design it so that those strips where the bolts are screwed in stick out above the main body of the frame? Wouldn't it be better if the weight was evenly distributed along the entire length of it rather than just those thin strips?
