So the dealer said it will do 120 real world and you didnt even get half that when the van asked to be plugged in. If that was me id get my money back .
You've got a cordless drill, cordless circular saw, cordless screwdriver, cordless multitool, but bought a van that needs to be plugged in all the time! :D
An empty van that can only do 40 miles you are going to have to buy a horse to pull it around Central London................they saw you coming............wait until next winter when it's cold, I guess you will palm it off to one of your minions with a massive laminated sign on the dash saying "Do NOT turn the heater on or you're sacked".....lol............. BTW how are you going to fit a cherry picker on that?
put 'Thomas Nagy' into Google and it suggests this unit is his... It also suggests that Tom is a music artist, and there are Google reviews praising the "variety & quality of food", "Friendly waitress and floor staff", "open log fire" and "Proper fish and chips" whilst others complain about "gloop of pressed, steamed and then cut into rectangles cuboidal things, rather than anything with a resemblance of stuffing", the wait for desserts, the lukewarm ham with a hard chip that nearly broke a tooth - Big portion sizes on large meals, the large portion not being terribly filling, the forgetful chef and "the cookie was unedited [sic] to eat". Pleased to hear though that: "Toilets are clean" and "All of the staff were wearing Christmas jumpers during our visit in December"
Openreach are using those cable reel holders you were talking about, we're starting to be given them on our vans called X-boards for the FTTP rollout across UK. Apparently supposed to be really good
Got a env200 had to bring it back from peterborough back though luton to london I made it with 5 miles left on ..not gonna lie i though I was not going to make it .. well worth the rapid charge option. .. nice little van both of them
Oh dear Tom, sounds like you'd be better off with a push bike and a trailer over that van. At least you can be recharged with a bacon sandwich. I don't know why the majority of the EV vans have such shit range. I'd probably be taking that thing back, sounds like it's only useful for very local works - and lack of A/C, that'll be fun in summer
Great video, as for the van did you get any vasaline or ky jelly when you bought it, as it looks like someone tried to shaft you. Good you are back where is Nom has she qualified yet.
To get the mileage, you will need to change your driving style. Gentle does it accel and let it coast back down (for max regen). After driving my Leaf for a year, I drove a 2L Sentra 240Miles and got 50 MPG (I never got more than 40 with my 948 AH Sprite) OMG, what a difference not using all the performance makes
The Renault master ev only has a 70 mile range..You could mount a generator in a box on the tow bar. Plug it in when you run out... like the jaguar test cars were using a few years ago so they don't get stuck when the battery runs out.
Yer i would have driven strait back to the dealer.. and the lack of basic features of ridiculous.. if that was more than 6k for that crappy thing i think you been had!
In the states, if a cook top is installed in a break room. It classifies the room as a commercial kitchen and means everything in that break room needs to be on gfci breakers.
In Australia commercial or residential houses have to have rcds on every circuit (I believe this is similar to gfci breakers) but remember that us alike to the UK run at 240v.
You wait until next winter when it is cold. You will be lucky to get from A to B let alone on to C without a magic pixies refill Got to love electric driving
silly name diversity. In a domestic situation, one would not expect every light to be on, every appliance in use, so you do not need to ensure the supply can cope with that current. In a commercial property, one would expect all lights to be on, every computer & workstation to be on... and so you have to ensure the electrical installation and supply will support this demand.
I'd get a tow bar fitted on that van then tow a generator so you can charge on the move. You could also offer a charge n drive service for others on the move.👍😎
Good to see you back Tom. I'd like to see all T&E not just LSF but with sleeved CPC. Used to be available here some years ago, and beloved by exhibition contractors. Now mandatory in Ireland. Would you consider positioning your mic centrally, and/or running your audio track through a compressor/limiter? Would mitigate the big voume difference when you move your head. Cheers!
Hey can I ask for some advice! I'll keep it short 😂.. I'm 24 and currently a mechanical engineer (aerospace industry), I would like to train to become an electrician however with having 2 children and bills to pay I can't do the "traditional" apprenticeship route! Would it be possible to become qualified if I went to college and done an evening course to achieve a city and guilds level 2/3 then gain experience part time? Would that allow me to then bet a gold gold etc and be an "electrician". Or would the apprenticeship route be the only way? Thanks!!
Kangoo van is mint. I've got one, now five years old drives like new, with 220,000 miles, diesel engine doesn't miss a beat, and still gets 48mpg!! Great well presented videos, keep up the good work. Stay safe guys. Pete 👍
@7:28 Well I guess it's been a while...Naomi looks a bit different now :) If someone takes my money for a specific thing...then gives me something totally different...there is going to be trouble...that is too much like stealing from me! Tell them to put the battery you paid for in the van...there is no "negotiation" for that.
