Julia I had no idea you did this before moving to Texas. I grew up doing modeling in the City as well as my kiddos. This is great to see the other side of it. I had no clue but always wondered what went in to getting shoots prepped. A lot has changed since I did print work. Everything is through social now. Thanks for sharing. :) You are such a doll!
I'm a social media manager for a couple of small businesses (all owned by the same family). I love my job, but I find that my ideas that coincide with things I learned in school and from extensive research that I do rarely matters because the people I work for want something specific that just isn't working for their brand or helping them grow. Have you ever had to deal with something like this? I know working for a corporate company is much different, but if you happen to have any advice I would love it!

I remember starting up the Instagram post for our store. (Champaign,IL) Did the visual marketing of skincare products and themes to go with it. Others have taken over our page after the heartbeat was started for a year by myself. It was nice to start it and see it’s growth

hi Ingrid! No i actually didn't take a blogging course, but I used to work at blogging marketing company so I learned a lot there! honestly that would be the best way to learn is to get an internship in influencer marketing you will learn EVERYTHING!

I didn’t go to college for this type of work so I don’t know where to start & what kind of brands to even dm on Instagram! I’ve been growing my Instagram since I do modeling then got a new professional camera to start making better content on RU-vid & just take better every day insta fashion pictures! thanks Ibon! we actually don't have a PR list so I cant really answer this question. From personal experience I either DM brands myself on Insagram or try to look up there PR email and send them my media kit!
Julia Havens Any tips for reaching out to brands yourself? I have been wanting to do this for so long but I always feel like my following isn’t as big as brands would like, so I get discouraged to reach out ☹️
You won’t know if you don’t try! The first step is sending a bunch of DMs! Keep it short and simple and tell them who you are, that you would love to create content for them and who can you speak to about gifting or collaborating. Also you should be creating content already with the products of the brands you want to work with so when you reach out the content is already there. Nothing is ever gonna happen unless you start and try and reach out to people! U can do it!
