Despite being apart, the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University community came together and did what theatre folks do best: use creativity and determination to make it work.
During the pandemic, the students and faculty built systems so their theatre education could continue-and even thrive. They pivoted their premiere Light Lab to both remote and in-person access and quickly moved their annual cabaret to RU-vid. Their commitment to the work is proof that elements of theatre education can successfully adapt in the future.
