Hi, this is a great channel and plenty of useful information thank you! I have a question, I have a BA in Linguistics and Teaching English and I am a Polish national, I currently live and work in the Caribbean. I found a programme that's actually my dream MA programme in the USA. I am a little concerned with the cost of life (Monterey, CA area) and I would probable need a scholarship to support myself. I would also need to look about getting a job to cover the cost of living. Can you please tell me if generally there are scholarships that would also cover the cost of living? I am a little overwhelmed with the idea of just jumping into the process of applying.. thank you!

Based on your website it states "If you work part-time on CPT, or full-time on CPT for less than 12 months, you are still eligible for all of your allowable OPT." Does allowable OPT means one year full-time or the remaining months deducted from CPT?
Hi Brian, allowable OPT will vary depending on your situation. Please visit this link for more information to help you answer this question: bit.ly/1U0qiz0

Hi Travis, yes they do! These programs or jobs have to be related to what you are studying. The requirements for OPT are specific skills like math, science, engineering, and health. For more information please visit: www.internationalstudent.com/study_usa/way-of-life/working-in-the-usa/

+D K One of the best places to start is the international office at your college or university! Oftentimes they already have relationships set up with local employers, or at least can point you in the right direction.
+Krishnan Eswar It will depend on your authorization. When you receive authorization you will be notified if you're able to work less than 20 hours per week or 20+ hours per week.
