So my PC HDD is not working anymore so I removed an old HDD from an old Toshiba laptop with windows XP sweet installed when I plug the HDD in the laptop it shows me a black screen telling me to choose a proper boot device or smthg like that .. I was wondering if I format the HDD and install windows 10 will it work?
Hello. It should at least try to boot from your old Win XP. Something does not seem right. If you don't care about that old XP install you can try to put W10 on it and see what happens.

Hi, thanks! Sorry, but I don't know about the upgrade. Even if they would have the same socket, the i7 might draw more power than the motherboard can provide and the cooling might not be able to handle the extra heat generated. To know what cpu is the max, your best option is to search on forums and see what others were able to upgrade to without problems.
I have a satellite C660 with 3GB RAM, If I upgrade the ram and take out the fan for a clean and re-paste, would I have to reset, reboot or reload things, such as OS, browsers, password management.. or would those things be unaffected? I currently have this Laptop. I have 3GB RAM and using a HDD as of now. Planning to upgrade HDD to SSD of 500GB. I've got a question. Should I go with Windows 7 or Windows 10 on the SSD? I'm planning to upgrade the RAM in a month or two, depending on the delivery using Amazon - due to the current situation. But I can get a SSD from the store. I don't want to clone coz I have a lot of unwanted junk on the HDD, so planning on fresh install. Which is better for that in this time to get a smooth and best performance from my laptop and to make it run for atleast 2-3 more years(hopefully)? Win 10 or 7? What do you suggest I do? Can i upgrade my c660-1ex to windows 10? I try to run a hdd with windows 10 but it doesn't boot to it. Thus the bios need to update in order to run window 10?

Ultimate DIY Thanks for the fast reply. All it says is Satellite C660 and underneath it has PS00LA-02L01H. Not sure what model it is. On properties it says it’s a Pentium (R) Dual-Core CPU T4500 @2.30GHz 2.30GHz. Is this the bad model?

@@UltimateDIY Yes, it’s 8 GB maximum. But i have doubt it may hang/ lag if i upgrade to maximum. Moreover i don’t need 8 GB right now.. I just want ti upgrade it becuse the laptop is too much slow... If i add 4GB ram is it needed to upgrade HDD or attached ssd?
@@EFootballUnofficial707 upgrading the ram will help, but not dramatically. Add 4gb for 6gb total and upgrade hdd to ssd. That will help a lot with speed.

Hello, I have a satellite Toshiba c660 and it keeps freezing, even the curser will freeze.. I have tried f12 and f2, proceeded with the reboot and still I have the same issue.. I can't Google anything as it freezes before I can even get to that.. Please help
Hello. Sorry, but without seeing it hands on, it's impossible to tell. Cold be lots of things. Maybe overheating, driver problems, hard disk errors, corrupted Windows install, viruses etc.
O.K. from there the confusion. The next week i go work on the same model Toshiba notebook, Upgrade to Windows 10 home and an 512GB SSD. Also an new keyboard.
