when rated voltage appled across motor it simplys draws rated current from the supply. If transformer is there in between supply and motor, lower current at high voltage simply transformed into high current on low voltage side.

The video is correct the dc made the coil an electromagnet and the meter detected it for a second if it was ac the meter would have detected it longer

EMF induced or produced due to relative motion of conductor or magnetic field is called Dynamically induced EMF. Eg: Electrical Generator The other one is Statically induced EMF
