This breaks my heart. The sad thing is if someone took her home, gave her all the money she needed, did everything they could, you still couldn't rescue her from the streets because of drugs.
That is something that she has got to want to do herself, and no one else can do that for her. Sad really, because she seems like she is keeping a good grasp at reality and what her life could one day be like. I do hope that she has a change of heart.
My daughter is an addict and was living on the streets..we took her in because we were constantly worried about her . She has an agreement with us that she does her stuff else where. Praise Jesus she’s in recovery and is doing great..there is a light at the other end of the tunnel.
Ok we understand an addiction but to be honest here it go some ppl are strong some are weak what's the first thing you learn as a kid say no to drugs kids some of us as being raised by our parents some of us had the will power and yep I said it some of y'all were weak now kudos to the drug addicts that made it and whatever every body has their opinion and I said what I said we know it's an addiction duh
Liz is sober and far away from Kensington is what I heard. That is all I know. ❤ Liz I am so proud of you. 🙏🏼 If you read this, I am rooting for you. ❤
Like so many others, I'm blown away by Liz's intelligence and unbelievable ability to articulate with such eloquence. She is an 'old soul' indeed. We are sending you positive energy, Liz. Please take care of yourself and keep trying.

She's articulate, clearly intelligent, and a mom. Breaks my heart when people waste their lives and potential because of drugs. I hope she does get clean and gets into a healthy life with her mom and daughter before it is too late.
Over 2 million people are rooting for you. That’s 1 in every 4000 people on the planet. You’re a beautiful soul. I hope you can find the strength to do the work to stay sober. ❤ Update: now 1 in 2900
sadly that doesn't matter to her; drugs have her, reasoning or social encouraging doesn't work with addicts; only pro institutionalization works but you can't force addicts to that, so basically she's another one playing russian roulette in zombie city
unfortunately, she won't. Almost nobody who grew up on the streets is ever going to leave the streets. They go through dry spells of drugs & alcohol sometimes, but they always go back to their old ways to cope. Sad but that's just how it is
She's smart in many ways. She has something to offer the world. She's sick, she's the only one who can "fix" her. My heart feels for her. I pray she decides she's ready before it's too late.
@@jonduggan7433 I said "smart" which is different than intelligent. That is just for the record lol. Although you weren't replying to me. However, that doesn't make your statement any less true.
She's so engaging and bright. I am astounded that she kept this lightness about her considering what she's dealing with. I wish her the best and pray she gets help.
She abandoned her daughter and dumped her onto her grandparents to raise so she can run off and get high every day. Her daughter is the one that needs prayer.
Contrary to most opinions and comments I see here, I don't feel sorry for this person. She is breaking the law to earn money, so she can turn around and break the law again in a different way. The look on her face at 1:27 says everything. She has zero regret or remorse about any of it and it's very pathetic
Despite your situation, you still have class. Please please please get clean and stay far away from there. I'm praying for you Liz, your daughter needs you and your mama deserves her own life! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️from Canada
@Doppelganger D agreed was a heroin user for 22yrs been 3yrs clean thankfully the cravings have stopped totally now. Withdrawing is impossible to explain to anyone who's never experienced it, there's nothing to even compare it to even giving birth (did that twice) withdrawing is pain plus the anxious fidgety can't sleep, vomiting, diarrhea, cramps, sweating but freezing even thinking about it makes me on edge. Getting clean was definitely hard but also the best decision I've ever made.
Agreed. She looks reasonably healthy and together, except for her teeth. Attractive really. I know very little of addiction, but it seems that she can turn her life around fairly quickly if she wanted to.. Good luck young lady.
As a addict in recovery (20 year alcoholic, 15 year heroine addict, 4 years clean now) I can tell people that do not understand, until a person is truly ready, they will not get sober. You can not force someone. It only makes it worse. You can not "fix" someone. We are not broken. Just lost. Everyone has their own reason which others will never understand.
Good for you. I'm very similar only I have less sober time. I was 2 years clean and sober about a month ago. I never thought I'd do it and now I never want to look back. The sad thing is that the addict must be ready, yet so many die before they reach that point.
Exactly 👏 💯 an addict has to tire of themselves before they get clean...what made me get clean is I was tired of the lifestyle and it always ends up bad....like insanity, keep doing the same thing expecting different results when the results are always the same, death jail, homelessness....just not worth it....tired of that chaotic lifestyle, tired of being dope sick ...congrats on your clean time 😁❤✊
She's cute, charming, adorable, articulate, intelligent, and truthful, despite what she's been through. I'm charmed by her. I hope she gets clean soon.
Hope away cause she’d rather suck a thousand dirty organs on that sidewalk than go home and play housewife. If she’s cute intelligent and truthful i know a Nigerian prince that needs your help.
This showed up in my feed and I'm glad it did. I'm touched by this brave, intelligent young woman. She clearly has a guardian angel looking out for her. I pray she is able to overcome her troubles, build a healthy life, and be reunited with her daughter.
In response to the two comments above mine, prayers and guardian angels don’t quite work that way, there’s a grand design and we also have free will… But prayers do matter and can help, and guardian angels do what they can.
What a lovely woman! Honest, smart, articulate. She could do so much more with her life. I do hope she finds her way out of Kensington. Keep us posted about her and let her know that people are rooting for her!!
@@perrybabin8427 by no means did she “make a good decision” somewhere along the line but I challenge you this- have you made a bad decision in however many years you’ve been on this earth? If not, you’re lying. And if so… see your own reply 😉

The most truthful person I have ever saw in her situation. Very decisive answers and is truthful with herself, hope she can pull herself out of this situation for herself and her daughter.
I feel that some of the addicts like her could be saved if she was forced into a long term facility. Away from the streets . Away from other addicts. Then for a year or so to live in still away from populated areas in a tiny house type supervised community.... Please tell me what you think.
@@royleevaughn2990 I thought that also but I have known far too many people that get clean, get good jobs, have a good relationship with someone, have a nice home and vehicle then all of a sudden they go missing and you find them back in the streets. I don't know why drugs have such a strong draw on people.
This woman is extraordinary. Despite over a decade of drugs and dangerous lifestyle, she is intelligent, coherent and even pretty. Addiction and mental barriers are not rational. Obviously, it is a sad mess. Glad she was willing to talk.
yeah I don't think the kind of drugs she does make you dumb like alcohol long term does, or meth. Bc you at least sleep and it doesn't destroy the brain to the same extent, with fentanyl (compared to other drugs.) I've seen people get too skinny and not sleep just from adderall who aged twenty years ahead of their time -- so apparently it's the not sleeping and not eating that really age you, above all else.
The people I find extraordinary are the ones who, when faced with adversity rise to the challenge, like single mothers who rather than give up their child set aside their own interests in favor of raising that child. There's nothing extraordinary about someone who's wasted her life "over a decade of drugs and dangerous lifestyle." It's sad and tragic.
Whenever I Feel like my life has been going downhill I always gravitate towards these videos to remind myself I need to stay strong and push my self to move on. As an addict who has been to rehab 2 times now I know the struggle to stay clean is hard. Only advice I got is take it one day at a time.
As a recovering addict my heart goes out to her, but as addicts we won't change until the pain of staying where we're at is greater than the pain of change.
I love this guy who interviews everyone on the streets. He is respectful and treats them like human beings and hes really just trying to get the info of Kensington out into the world.
actually this interviewer is trash and only cares about himself. IF you notice all he does is spam his patreon and cashapp for himself to get money and just make money off us while he ignores all of our comments, and then doesnt ask the homeless women their contact info to help them. Other channels let us have the contact info to give money to the actual people who need it who are on the streets and not the lowlife doing the interviewing

There's usually a stigma attached to this type of lifestyle but it's crazy how that stereotype doesn't hold true. She's conscientious, articulate, aware and polite. I wish her the best.
Yes she appears to be bright and intelligent period and it's almost unbelievable that she is really homeless all the time I'm thinking this is an actor
One of the most self aware and honest active addicts I've seen. Hopefully she gets tired of ripping and running one day. Staying clean is a personal struggle to the individual. No one can do it for her.
The biggest mistake we humans make is thinking we have more time. She’s been fortunate. My son was 1 day away from getting clean and was found 2 days later deceased from a massive heart attack. He was 22, autistic and miss him daily. He had a great supportive family and just got caught up with the wrong crowd. When this girl realizes her daughter is more important than the streets, she’ll never turn back. Best of luck to her.
I have now lost two sons to addictions, one to alcoholism and one to drugs. They both tried many times to get clean, and they were both beautiful souls. I have no words for the pain we parents go through grieving their deaths and their lives.
My sincere condolences to you, Custom Painter and S M. To lose children, whatever the circumstances must be the worst experience ever. I hope this woman is able to pull away from such self-destruction.
She's breaking my heart. She's so tired from being strong and 'on guard'. I truly hope she makes it 🤞🏼 She's extremely smart and on the ball. Bless you.
Liz, if you are out there somewhere, I hope that you are well and staying clean. You have a bright future if you dare to seek it. You are beautiful, smart, well-spoken, and obviously, a survivor. Liz, _(I hope you see this♡)_ Thank you for speaking so candidly about addiction. It's not easy... I know. It sucks! It's one of the worst things to go thru. But your child losing you and not having you to lean on and help them grow, would be like detoxing a million times. Please think about _your_ life, your child, and your family and friends who truly care. The fact you have recovering friends who check on you and will help you, is a huge blessing. As a recovering addict (who started with just a simple script for pain from my regular doctor who I'd gone to for years), I know it's hard. I promise you, that when you do get clean, the love & joy your child will bring you, is one of the greatest highs in the world. I know that sounds cliché, but it's true. I think you know that. You legit lit up, when you spoke about them and hugging them.♡ And if you need help? Take it! I still take Subutex (since Jan 2016), and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. And to the people who say (in a snotty condescending voice) _"You're not clean while taking Subutex or Methadone,"_ think whatever you want. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one! I would rather take Subutex for pain, than opiates & benzos. I started on 3 tablets a day, and I've actually gone down 1 in the past year, just on my own without even trying... just staying busy. I find that staying busy is key forrrr sure. Like you, I have a small child... a little girl, and I'm sooo thankful I've never had to be away from her for a long period of time. Your child truly _needs_ you in their life. I don't say all this to make you upset, mad, irritated, annoyed, etc., just speaking from one Mama to another, and as somebody who's been "trapped" before. If methadone helped you before, go back to it. What do you have to lose? Screw the people who say _but you're not "clean" if you're using Methadone or Subutex..._ Unless you've gone thru it, you'll *never* understand. I'm so thankful to have a great Doctor who's helped me with my chronic pain and also helped me to stay off opiates & benzos. I wouldn't usually write something like this to a stranger _(in hopes they see it),_ but after losing my Father at only 20, and now losing my Mother to Dementia, it really puts into perspective just how "short" and PRECIOUS life is. I hope I didn't upset you... that wasn't my intentions. Just trying to talk with you from one Mama to another. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and be sending you positive vibes & hugs from afar! You can do this! Just believe in yourself and think of your baby and that huge hug you want to give them... they *need* you! Remember the hug you talked about giving your child in this video? Just think of how happy they will be, to receive that hug in return and know that Mommy's back to stay! Take Care! ♡-Goose

@@monicamccarthy3382 Thank you! Fortunately, I've never had somebody say anything to me about the Sub*tex I take, but I've heard that people have been bashed for it, or m*thadone. It definitely wasn't like that when I was on an op*ate script with my old doctor. Thanks again for your kind words! Take Care ❤️

I like this guy making the video, to go out and find the humanity in the most despairing among us. No politician does a fraction what he does. He’s bringing her to reflect on her life and current situation, which is more help than anyone probably has. Great job in searching for humanity in others and bringing it to us. So devastating to see this thoughtful, caring unfortunate young victim of addiction. There's a better life waiting for her. She can salvage her life. There are new treatment strategies available. I wish the government would commit to helping people like her.😢
Omg, this young woman is so pretty, so articulate, so intelligent, wow, how sad that she has ended up like this. And she has so much to live for: her mother, her young daughter & her friends, all waiting for her to get clean & return to them. I really hope she makes it, that she doesn’t wait too long & her luck runs out, especially dealing with the people she has to encounter everyday. Great interview & thank you for introducing Liz to your audience.
Yes she's all of these things but the magnetic grip of the addiction is so powerful she does not have to will or determination to deal with our "ordinary life" and has abandoned her daughter and responsibilities. Of course her family will not be impressed as us with her performance, because of her selfishness. Her only true hope is that she can re-channel her obvious determination before it's too late either for her or her poor mother and daughter because she could be so very much more. Great video sir! And lovely comments!
So sad, she's so well spoken and intelligent which shows that addiction doesn't discriminate. Nobody is 100% immune. I hope she finds the strength and help to sober up.
You're absolutely right. NO ONE is completely immune. I could take anyone and give them some good opiates for a week for free...then "end the experiment" and tell them "You can go home now if you like....or you can stay to continue the experiment (and get more drugs) but not get paid." Many would stay regardless of other losses (jobs, spouses, etc.) and you could include pastors, politicians, men, women, and anyone. Some would do better and some not but with the right substance and a long enough exposure...well you'd do almost anything to feel "normal" at some point.
Were you paying attention when she said she didn't have friends or trust anybody? She's a dope fiend. Has been for 13 years. She's good with it. She's tricking, she's good with that. She's a criminal, and she's cool with it.
I'm in my late 60's and biden could of given our homeless , like her the 45 billion $ , they'd have homes , be in rehabs , she could be a real mom , be there for her daughter , get her schooling , transportation the works ! America wouldn't have a homeless problem !

She's such a lovely woman, I hate that she's chosen this path and is stuck in that rut. I pray she gets the help she needs and gets home to her daughter with no casualties!
I once interviewed a few homeless folks during high school, but never posted any of the content. One of them went by the nickname of “Tool” because he was always making cool wooden boxes with limited tools, which he would then sell on the street. I asked if he wanted to get off the street and he declined. He said, “I have no bills and everything I need. People show up once a week with showers on trailers and a medical trailer too. I get free food, free medication, free clothes, and I don’t have to work a 9-5. Why would I want to be a part of the system? If I go live in a halfway house, my stuff is going to get stolen and I’ll probably relapse because those places attract druggies and felons and if you get into a fight, you get arrested and sent to jail.”
This breaks my heart. I watched one of my high school buddies go down this road. He died 10 years ago. Everyone he grew up with tried to help but the drugs just controlled his life till they ended it.
Intelligent and well spoken lady. A lesson for all us. The difference between her and the folks on the street and in prison often boils down to a couple of bad decisions. It's a fine line between living in the suburbs and having a job, spouse, house and family and living on the streets or in a cell.
I watch this type of content to hopefully better understand someone I love and care about. I am happy to say that person is sober at the moment and trying to stay that way. There is hope.
