That lashing looks a lot better than the one I used to protect my axe. When the jute twine falls off I'll probably relash it this way, thanks for sharing!
Many years ago, I broke the end of my 60 lb. French Curve Bow as I was trying to string the bow. As I put my foot in between the string and the bow, I lost balance and stepped onto the bow itself, breaking the tip. I lived down the street from an elderly Paiute Indian, he used this Straight Lash to fix the bow so I could use it. I never knew how he did that and now I know!
