One additional piece of advice I would add to this is that we should become very aware when we are basing our beliefs about our relationship with God on our feelings about our own performance verses the clear promises of God in Scripture. If you depend on how you feel about your own performance you will create anxiety or pride but if you depend on the grace of Christ promised in Scripture you will create gratitude and security in your heart.

Exactly what I needed to hear! Cried my eyes out the other day because I’d been feeling distant from God. But instead of asking ‘Where is God?’ I asked ‘Where am I?’ Realizing I was wanting/doing/thinking things I shouldn’t have been. Regardless, this was a much needed clip - thanks pastor Mike 😊

I've always felt ..... John 7 :37 -38 ....is Jesus speaking in a metaphor for crying 😭 On the last and greatest day of the festival,Jesus stood and CRIED in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said,rivers of living water will flow from within them. 😭

@@artistart55 no. The word the “cried” is a word that means to shout or call out loudly. It isn’t saying he is crying. The metaphor is in the “eating” and “drinking” portion of his statement. Always remember. There is no “your and my interpretations” there is only Gods interpretation. And there is a right way to read the Bible

@@Scribeintheink You must understand it is physically possible to drink your tears...... For the simple reason when they flow down the side of your cheeks they end up at your mouth.. John the Baptist was recognized as the voice of one crying in the desert.... The shortest verse in The Bible is Jesus wept John 11:35 Is revelation 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. John 3:5 you must be born of water and spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven.. Jesus answers the water in John 4 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. John 4:15-18. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. @@artistart55 Debunking catholicism I'm more blessed than mary Proof = Luke 11:27-28 27 And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” 28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” In Luke 11:27 that random woman LITERALLY said Jesus your mother is Blessed, but are Lord Jesus LITERALLY said Believers are more Blessed than mary. Amen and Amen _________________________ CHRIST alone John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. ACTS 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” There is only One Mediator between God and men, LORD Jesus Christ= 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. Hebrew 9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrew 12:24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. Hebrew 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. Ephesians 2:18 For through Him we both have access by One Spirit to the Father John 15:5 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. _________________________ Work of God = John 6:28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” _________________________ 1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach Paul allows bishops to get marry, but catholic church goes against paul. Now these catholic will give a Verses from 1 Corinthians7 to say that paul gave the advice to stay unmarried. But they will not tell you that the same chapter they quote says 1 Corinthians 7:28 "even if you do marry, you have not SINNED". The passage literally says "young women, young men" and a bishop is supposed to be a Church ELDER. Mic drop _________________________ Jesus said Matthew 23:9 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And also said Holy Father to Heavenly Father= John 17:11 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. Jesus said call no one Father but still catholics call *pope holy father. Sad _________________________ Whenever a catholic argue about mary being the mother of God Use this to defeat the argument. Luke 8:21 But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.” Matthew 12:46-50 46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. 47 Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.” 48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”. Mark 3:35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.” John 19:26-27 26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. ( Jesus basically said John is the son of mary, and mary is the mother of John from that time onwards). By the way sarah is the mother of all proof=Galatians 4:21-26. _________________________ We should not pray to apostles Romans 1:25 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Acts 10:25-26 25 As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.” Acts 14:15 15 and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them, Revelation 19:10 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 22:8-9 8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God." Colossians 2:18 18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, You cannot go to Father through saints nor mary, you can only go to the Father through Lord Jesus Christ= John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Ephesians 2:18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Holy Spirit intercedes for us=Romans 8:26 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And CHRIST as well=Romans 8:34 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Hebrews 7:25 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. It's Christ and Holy Spirit who intercedes for us not apostles _________________________ Apostles are allowed to marry, 1 Corinthians 9:1-5 1 Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? 2 If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. 3 My defense to those who examine me is this: 4 Do we have no right to eat and drink? 5 Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? If Peter (peter is cephas read John 1:42) the so called "first pope" was married, why does the catholic church doesn't allow "pope" to marry? _________________________ The so called vicar of christ/ pope/holy father Peter called himself a fellow elder in 1 Peter 5:1, and as per the qualifications of elder in Titus 1:5-9 the elder is allowed to get married; then why does the "pope" is required to be celibate and catholic? ( when Peter was neither celibate nor catholic). 1)Peter was not perfect human nor was he a perfect disciple 2)He sank down while walking on water 3)Our Lord said to peter get behind me satan 4)Peter reject our Lord 3 times 5)Our Lord rebuked Peter for calling fire from heaven 6)Our Lord rebuked Peter when he cut of the soilders ear 7)Paul rebuked Peter for being hypocrite because he was acting different in front of Jews and different in front of gentiles. 8) Moses messed up, and he was a important part of Bible ( that's why he never entered the promised land), 9)David messed up ( and he has the Holy Spirit), 10)King Soloman messed up, 11) Saul messed up and God regretted the decision (1 Samuel 15:10-11). Hatrick (Saul then David then Soloman back to back messed up) 12)The apostles run away a day before Lord Jesus got locked up. 13)The early church messed up Rev 2:18-20, 1 Corinthians, Galatians. 14) Apostle John when receiving Revelation worshiped an angel and the angel said "see you do not do that. Worship GOD" Revelation 22:8-9 If these great people could mess up, why do you think the catholic church wouldn't mess up. _ Galatians 4:21-26 21 Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, 24 which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar- 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children- 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. Sarah is mother of all, Not mary Also the Church has many name like Christians, Evangelists, Children of God, Believers, servents of God, bride of Christ, but not once the Church is called catholics Changed the 10 commandments by deleting 2nd commandment, and dividing the 10th into 2 commandments. Also changing the real Saturday Sabbath to fake sunday sabbath.

Also, something that has helped me is to realize how I can do no good apart from God and that my righteousness is as filthy rags. But only by the Father's mercy, being faithful and just to forgive us of all our trespasses and giving us this faith by Christ's sacrifice. We have been gifted this grace and this Hope. "The Lord is my Shepherd" Meaning He will seek you with worry and grief when you get lost, and He will rejoice triumphently when He finds you, stuck in a thicket, and He's able to lead you back to the flock. You're never too far from God, nor are you ever too unimportant for Him to seek you. He made you, He rejoices when you are finally found and returned home to the flock.

@@brandonvonbo9708 except scripture says that if you are lost…without God you will never come to him. It is the call and existence of God and his movement and being that allow for anyone to come. In other words, if the prodigal son had not known of the father based on what the father revealed, if the son had not been given access to the father by his will then the son would have never come. Such is the nature of man outside of Christ. Scripture says that the unsaved CAN NOT understand, know, or perceive the things of God. God quite literally HAS TO SHED LIGHT IN THEIR HEARTS because otherwise they won’t choose God. Ever. @@Scribeintheink Calvinism is a false doctrine, God has shed light for every man through the one true light of the world, Jesus Christ. To all my brothers and sisters in Christ: In my experience this teaching isn't really emphasized many churches today: "No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God." -1 John 3:9 It's not works that save you, but a kind of faith that will produce works (or obedient faith). John 10 says that the sheep of Jesus know His voice and FOLLOW Him. Hebrews 3 makes it clear that the early Israelites could not enter the promise land because of "unbelief" which the chapter describes as disobedience (so obedience to God/Jesus go hand-in-hand with believing). Remember also, Jesus is both our Savior and our Lord. Lord = master, so when you read passages like: "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. " -Romans 10:9 ...there is no contradiction. Lord = master, and if we confess truly that Jesus is our master, we obey our master. This information today us NOT made clear in every church. Many I have heard say that we can't mention works in relation to salvation, but it's by our works that others know we are walking in faith, James says: "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him" -James 2:14 And finally, we are called to examine ourselves each day to make sure we are walking in the faith. -2 Corinthians 13:5 And of course, our sins from the past are forgiven and so too are sins we make mistakenly. However, the Bible says that habitual and unrepentant sinning is not forgiven. Hebrews 10:26-27: "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries." God be with you in this journey - this life is but a testing ground. Jesus is coming soon.

Please read these Bible Scriptures, not what the video say. May God bless you. Philippians 2: 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. notice: hope to attain Acts 26: 7 the promise to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly serve God night and day. And for this hope, O King, I am being accused by Jews. 8 Why is it considered incredible among you people if God does raise the dead? John 8: 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” James 4: 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 1 John 2: 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: 6 the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. 1 John 3: 6 No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. 1 John 3: 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. notice: whom God has given to those who obey Him Acts 5: 32 And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Revelation 3: 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Hebrews 12: 4 You have not yet resisted [d]to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; 5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved by Him; 6 For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, And He scourges every son whom He receives.” 7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we had [e]earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of [f]spirits, and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. 12 Therefore, [g]strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. 14 Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; 16 that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. 17 For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears. Matthew 5: 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. May God give me to live in obedience, to live according to His Spirit. Seems like your standard is higher than God’s…but only in the amount of evil that should be expressed in reality. So, that being said, I am personally filled with inexpressible joy that God is God and is the only righteous one. I thank him that he is him and not you. Otherwise we would all have no access to goodness whatsoever.

I was literally just praying and reciting some scripture about this and as I’m closing my evening this popped up. Thank you!

Please read these Bible Scriptures, not what the video say. John 8: 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” 1 John 2: 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. Romans 8: 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

@@bartleonyou have to blatantly misunderstand most of these verses to refute with the video. We are saved by grace through faith apart from works, but if you actually have faith you’ll do good works naturally. “Faith without works is dead.” You don’t have to constantly ask yourself “am I doing good works?” The faith you have will naturally bring you to desire good works.

When God judges believers, He does it to discipline us. When He judges unbelievers, He does it to condemn them. We fear discipline from our earthly fathers even though they mean well. How much more should we fear the Lord's discipline. It's much more unpleasant, but it's to mold us.

This is so true. I’ve heard many preachers use the scriptures in psalms which says if a man regards iniquity in his heart, the Lord will not hear him. That was true for the Old Testament when they did not have the dwelling Holy Spirit, or the righteousness of Christ upon them. But today we are in a constant state of communion and fellowship with God in Christ. the only fellowship that has ever broken between us, and God is on our part when we sin, and because of that sin and shame or worldliness we do not go to him in prayer and worship. But he is ever with us to the point that PAUL even said to the Corinthians that if they make themselves one with a harlot that they make Christ one with that harlot as well.

We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! We are given salvation by faith. We are given justification by grace. We are made Holy (Set Apart), by the spiritual baptism we partake with Yeshua to our own sinful nature. And by those three, we seek to obey the commandments to the best of our ability, working out our faith within the confining rigors of Scriptures. And with the assistance of the Counselor, Ruach Hakodesh, by the understanding Mediator, Yeshua Hamashiach, and by the power and authority of our Divine Creator, YHWH Elohim. Even when we fail, we are still justified. Even when we sin, we can still turn back and seek Grace and Love. But ever always, we must RUN that Race. No one wins the prize by standing at the starting line. And no reaches the finish line by seeking their own way, or making their own rules. And as the Book of James explains, that our Faith, by Grace, should bear Good Fruit as exemplary of that True Faith and Allegiance to the Governing Authority that is Above... Even if it is against the forces, governances, principalities, and philosophies of this fallen and broken world. It ONLY becomes legalistic if we view our salvation as derivative of our own personal endeavors, rather than the personal endeavor being the fruit of our salvation and the bearing of True Faith and Allegiance.

Being a Christian doesn't make you close to God at all times. "Draw near to him and he will draw near to you"
@Window4503
@Window4503 Год назад
But it does. See Hebrews 10:19-22. We are near to God because we have been cleansed. We are told to draw near in light of the fact that we are made clean by Christ (that is, because we belong to him and he is our priest as Christians), not because we have to make ourselves clean as Christians. It’s a gospel message, not a law. Don’t turn the gospel into a law. The same truth applies to the James passage. Submission to God = looking to Christ = being a Christian. The three are inseparable. If it were not so, then Christ’s sacrifice means nothing because our sins still separate us and the curtain is not fully torn.

The bible specifically says works and grace are mutually exclusive. If your salvation is by the grace of God, it cannot be of works and if your salvation is of works then it cannot be of Grace. If you do not repent, you will stand before the Lord and you will be telling him, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ Boasting about all the works you did for him in his name and he will look you dead in your face and say to you, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ Woe to you, woe, woe, woe to you. You are on your way to hell. Repent Now

Really needed this, been struggling and getting beating myself up over this. Salvation is not about what we do for God it’s about what Jesus has already done for us😌 sanctification is about living more and more in obedience to God and growing in our walk. Maybe sometimes we mix salvation with our sanctification and think that because I’ve done xyz wrong I’m falling from God and now I need to do xyz to get back on track. I’ve struggled with this and the past few days have seen and herd some great content regarding this. Jesus already paid it all😌 God bless you!

Not true. Satan wants people to believe they aren’t required to do anything for the ultimate blessing, salvation. If you can correctly read the scriptures (many people can’t) it’s easy to discern that receiving blessings from God requires ACTION compelled by faith on the part of the individual. One example in the scriptures that highlights this point is when Peter and the sons of Zebedee were unsuccessful at fishing after working the entire night. Jesus asked Peter to lower his nets in a deep area of the Lake to haul in a catch. Peter explained they had been fishing all night without success YET he trusted Jesus enough to lower his nets anyway. They caught so many fish that they needed another boat to help carry the load. *LUKE 5:1-11* Peter was required to WORK for that blessing. He needed to lower the nets He needed to pull a net full of fish up from the water. If each fish weighed a pound Peter and others would have had to exert considerable energy to pull that much weight up from the water. Could Jesus have simply made the fish MIRACULOUSLY jump on the boat to spare the men the energy they would need to lift them on the boat? Sure, let’s remember they had already been fishing all night so they were likely exhausted. Yet, Jesus required that they first trusted in him and then ACTED on that trust by listening to him, being obedient, and taking the appropriate action when instructed. Being keenly aware of how your behavior impact your relationship with God is imperative in order to maintain a favorable position with God. Paul instructed first-century genuine Christians to Examine whether they were in the faith and to PROVE what they were. Walking and following after Christ is a constant struggle where a person should understand that our adversary, Satan, will not make it easy. *2 CORINTHIANS 13:5* *GALATIANS 6:4* *1 PETER 4:2*

@@Failur3i5n0tan0pt1on what you referenced in Luke 5:1-11 was about obedience, not working for salvation. Once saved, we should be walking in obedience to God according to His word, but that doesn’t save us, it’s just a result of the Holy Spirits work in us. Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast

What you’re suggesting is obedience to Christ isn’t essential for salvation. If that was the case then anyone and everyone would be extended this grand privilege of gaining eternal life without being required to be obedient. MATTHEW 28:19-20* - *Go* *therefore and make disciples* of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 28:20 - *teaching them to observe* *all that I commanded you;* and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” 👆🏾This is WORK. This is a COMMANDMENT by Christ Jesus to perform this work. The word *GO* doesn’t indicate a gentle suggestion. This work made it possible for you to even know the name of Jesus. Without their OBEDIENCE to Jesus command to do this WORK no one would know anything about Jesus neither would there be a religion known as Christianity. So, sorry if I don’t accept the foolish satanic doctrine of people needing to not work in SERVICE to Christ in order to be considered one of his disciples and be extended the privilege of eternal salvation. It’s dumbfounding that people believe a “follower” of Christ can IGNORE his commandments and still be considered his follower as well as receive eternal blessings. Please read Ephesians 2:8 CORRECTLY. Paul is referring to works of LAW (Mosaic law) not works done in service of Christ. He elaborates on this point in others. *ROMANS 3:20* *GALATIANS 2:16* *GALATIANS 3:11*

Please read these Bible Scriptures, not what the video say. John 8: 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” 1 John 2: 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. Romans 8: 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Proverbs 9:10 Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. Romans 6:1-4 What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life. Obedience to Christ would also include not practicing or continuing in sin. So, if you are continually committing sins and being unrepentant in your attitude toward your sinful behavior then you certainly are not being OBEDIENT to Christ. That will absolutely cause your relationship with God to be SEVERED until you make corrections in your life. *1 JOHN 3:4-8*

@@brettbarker8444 Christ be with you Sorry what about it. Those who follow Christ do not think one verse can contradict another. My guess is you do no know the difference between being saved and salvation. Or even know what faith in Jesus Christ. You probably claim to be Sola scriptura but it seems very clear that you do not follow it but follow three or four proof texts never trying to reconcile scripture. What false teacher do you follow for it does not appear to be Christ. To show you what Eph 2:8-10 really means We are told that Grace saves us. That Grace that saves is the forgiveness of sin a price we cannot pay. (Rom 6:23) It gives us a chance at eternal life. It is received though Faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ is trusting the Son of God to keep his promises particularly to give the gift of eternal life made possible by his death burial and resurrection to those who repent and love him by following his teachings and keeping his commandments. The first act of Faith and Love we partake in to receive this Grace is baptism where we are forgiven our sin. What St Paul is tell us that while we receive this Grace this cleansing of our sin in this act of Faith and love it is not what we do that cleanses us but what Christ did for us. However be cause Jesus commanded it we must do it if we wish to receive eternal life and continue in obedience doing the works prepared for us by God. Please read the Bible. Come to Christ and Live

Please read these Bible Scriptures, not what the video say. John 8: 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” 1 John 2: 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. Romans 8: 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Amen. Helpful tips for me have been: 1. believing that Jesus paid for every sin, even my deepest darkest ones. 2. Reading and constantly reminding myself of the tax collector's prayer and that Jesus said the tax collector walked away Justified. 3. A handful of things recently: Seeking to walk in fully trusting God's plan for my life and repenting of my desire to control things. Believing that he loves me always, reading scriptures that are based on whatever it is I'm working through. For his love, I read Ephesians and its promises about me and listened to the song "just because" by Judah. Just recently it's focused on prayer and leaning into God's will instead of my selfish desires. Some of this list is very generic, but pointing your eyes to Christ is a great way to see his grace and mercy.

@@MrKev1664 Hello, it sounds like your reply is very honest. If you aren’t familiar, Mike Winger is a Protestant Christian teacher. Yes, sin separates us from God, and those who don’t do good are not of God, but that’s not the entire story. Jesus came to reconcile us back to God because we cannot do it ourselves. Romans 1-3 show that nobody does good, and even those who try to follow the law are not righteous because they have failed. “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” but righteousness comes through Christ. So when 1 John outlines characteristics of the believer, he is not saying that those are how you come to know God is through the obedience. He is saying that those who already know God are defined by those characteristics. For, we are sanctified by the Holy Spirit and are called to be transformed, a process that can only occur after the indwelling of the Spirit for it is written that nobody who doesn’t know God can please him. Thanks, and I hope this gives you something to think about. It’s the Protestant perspective on salvation, according to the scriptures.

@@JosephLachh Christ be with you I am not sure I understand what you mean I don't think anyone who calls themselves Christiam would suggest that we are saved by anything other than the Grace of Christ. Mr Wing speaks of this like some Legal contract but St John refer to it as the cleansing of our sin. St Paul speaks about it as die with Christ and rising to new Life. (rom 6:4) He tells us in that in this new life we must reject sin and choose to live in righteousness as slaves to God so we may be sanctified and at it end receive eternal life. (Rom 6:15-23) As far as Rom 1 to 3 it is only in hyperbole we are to that no one does good for we find all throughout scripture people doing good. St John says this about obedience And by this we may be sure that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He who says “I know him” but disobeys his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps his word, in him truly love for God is perfected. By this we may be sure that we are in him: he who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.(1 John 2:3-6) and he goes on to say Little children, let no one deceive you. He who does right is righteous, as he is righteous. (1 john 3:7) In rom 1-3 we can see that to recieve eternal life that we must do works if we want to have eternal life (Rom 2:6-11) And St Paul tells us it is those who do these works who will be justified. For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. (1 John 2:13) Scripture just does not support that we have salvation by faith alone. Do not be deceived; *God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.* For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; *but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.* *And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.* (Gal 6:7-9) Come to Christ and Live

@@MrKev1664 well Paul does in fact speak in legal terms. He says the wages of sin is death. Additionally, I disagree that Roman’s 1-3 is hyperbole. Saying that is actually twisting scripture. By nobody seeks God, it means that nobody in and of themselves seeks God. But as you partially pointed out, those who God called to himself and chose to have faith in him became righteous. God had to make the first move. Otherwise, nobody seeks him. As per your Roman’s 6 comment, Roman’s 6 is about those who are already in Christ, per the first verse. It’s an encouragement for those who are saved to live as such. But this isn’t saying that we need to work our way to heaven or that our deeds have any merit. It’s that the believer needs to live out a life of repentance. I also agree that a believer with no repentance is not a believer at all, for Hebrews says that if we go on sinning, there is an expectation of judgement for us. So I grant you that much. But what Mike Says is absolutely true. I want to reiterate that Mike preaches repentance and that our sins separate us from God.

Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already made clean by the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VIDEO MESSAGE, SOMETHING I HAVE BATTLED THE LAST 10 MONTHS BUT WAS RECENTLY CURED. THE CONFIRMATION AND VALIDATION IN THIS VIDEO MESSAGE ONLY HELPS! BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED SONS OF GOD. “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:14-15‬ ‭ESV‬‬ HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE! Sometimes what we also must realize is Jesus said forgive others their trespasses and your father will forgive you your trespasses. Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself when you yourself sin against God and grieve his Holy Spirit especially the closer you get to God, better understanding His love more than you did previously. Really resonates with you what Paul said O Wretched man that I am for that what I will to do, I do not do. Spirit man waged war with the outer man. In first John he says I pray that you don’t sin but if anyone do sin we have a mediator. Remember to walk in love!

John 8: 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” 1 John 2: 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. Romans 8: 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Christ be with you those who study the scripture know salvation with be based works, Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered; and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchiz′edek. (Heb 5:8-9) this false teacher seems to be trying to convince us the sin doesn't seperate us from God, By this it may be seen who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not do right is not of God, nor he who does not love his brother. Unfortunately I hear fairly often some version of our sins cause distance between us and God. And sadly that's a subtle thought in the back of my mind that's hard to get rid of because I usually don't even realize that's what I'm thinking. Thank you for this, Mike.

My reply was deleted. Go figure. Let me put it this way. The Holy Spirit is not far from us bc He indwells us. He won't CONDEMN us when we sin, but He will convict us. We still have to repent, which is not the same as beating ourselves up.
@FreshSongs-AND-SOON-Politics
@Dan Stewart You do not repent curren4 sins for salvation. You repent because you are sorry. The two are not at all related regarding that. Anything else is you saying God died to give you the power to "work" for the rest of your salvation. That's a lie.

The protestants preach that old 'no works will save you' which is true. When it is written in scripture that works can not save you Paul is talking about the MOSAIC LAW. If you reject Jesus and keep the works of the law you can not be saved. This is absolutely True. But, in many areas of scripture it is clear that works are vital to your being saved. 'be gone from me I don't know you '(talking about the works of Mercy) ring a bell and other scripture that tells us faith without (good) works is dead. Jesus sacrifice and resurrections because He lived a Pure and Sinless life (which proves we can also but don't. Jesus never sinned even with all they threw at Him) OPENED the Gates of heaven to us but we must labor too keep our salvation. YOU MUST confess your sins that you do or fail to do to regain forgiveness.

You Must have OIL in your lamp. You MUST: Deny your Self Carry your cross AND Follow Him. Denying your Will = pressing the Olive Carrying your cross = pressing the Olive Following Him = Obedience to His Commandments = OIL That's the Kingdom of God. Grace is freely Available so that you MAKE IT to the Holy of Holies (in the Presence of the Lamb - Eternal Life). The Holy Spirit guides you to Understanding & Repentance, however many times you need to Learn to Obey. Don't linger in the Temple forever! Get into the Truth of it all to Receive Clarity & Everlasting Life - it doesn't TAKE a LIFETIME! Obedience IS your Light (parable of 10 virgins). It takes OBEDIENCE‼ NO MATTER WHAT!

John 20:31 Key Word: "MIGHT" Do you have Any Idea why it says MIGHT? Why? It Depends on YOU to Receive LIFE. It Depends on JESUS CHRIST for YOU to Receive SALVATION (of all kinds). It Depends On The Person's DETERMINATION TO FINISH THE RACE! THE SYSTEM IS IN PLACE! THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ESTABLISHED! IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE BEFORE JESUS CHRIST, WITHOUT THE WAY, THE TRUTH & THE LIFE ON LAWFUL TERMS. IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT; ONLY A FEW MADE IT INTO ABRAHAM'S BOSOM. NOW, THE PENALTY & WORKS OF THE LAW ARE OVER WITH - that was the Entire Purpose from year 1 to year 4019!... (assuming Adam's age in Eden wasn't counted towards the mentioned age when he begot Seth). So FOR 2023 YEARS PEOPLE MUST OBEY THE WAY IN TRUTH IN ORDER TO RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT SACRIFICING SOMETHING OTHER THAN THEIR WILL AND CARNAL IMMORAL DEEDS (BASED ON A FULL SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING AND COMPLIANCE OF THE LAW, AS ELABORATED BY JESUS IN MATTHEW 5). WITH LOVE, YOU CAN DO IT. WITH THE SPIRIT, YOU CAN DO IT. SO KEEP YOUR FLESH WEAK - CUZ GOD FORGIVES ONLY HOW YOU FORGIVE YOUR DEBTORS. YOU'LL SEE. IDK HOW OLD YOU ARE BUT THAT'S HOW IT WORKS & YOUR EYES WILL OPEN WHEN YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE FORGIVEN FOR BUT ACTUALLY WENT THRU SOME SCENARIO THAT TAUGHT YOU A LESSON AGAINST SUCH BEHAVIOR (which you thought were forgiven for) - USUALLY SOMETHING BETWEEN YOU AND ANOTHER BELIEVER OR SOMEONE CALLED THAT YOU CAUSED TO STUMBLE. UNDERSTAND MATTHEW 5:19‼ Do not teach or Hint anyone to: DISOBEY because salvation is free without the works of Faith. That Is Incorrect! THE WORKS OF THE LAW (ANNUAL SACRIFICES & TEMPLE TAX & SO ON) WERE REPLACED BY THE WORKS OF FAITH. LOOK INTO IT. I'M NOT MAKING ANYTHING UP. ANYTHING I WRITE IS 100% FROM THE WORD OF GOD!

The bible does say Christians who grieve the holy spirit will experience his indignation, doesn’t mean he will forsake you but that leave will be shaken and will leave you feeling very alone. Psalm 51 is a good way of communicating this thought.

The gospel as a means to sanctification is rarely discussed. It seems like too many Christians fall into the idea that they must turn back to the law in order to live a godly life when the Bible makes it clear that the gospel not only brings salvation but that God’s grace, not his punishment, is the driving factor of our obedience. That can only be maintained by constant exposure to the gospel (what God has done for me), not the law (what I have failed to do for God). The law kills and brings sin to light. It is not designed to CAUSE godly living like the gospel does.
