Interesting... Makes me wonder if that is legal; I have no idea what percentage of "made in" is required for the sticker. But it seemed to me during disassembly, that the USA was made in Canada 😜
Look, ma! Vacuum tubes! :) I love maple syrup, unless it's found in electronic devices. Then it's not so delicious. You got yourself a very cool piece of kit. I love the build quality of these. Apart from the RIFA caps which are "kill it with fire before it does it itself!" parts. Interesting way of repairing the power button - I think I'd just go with using a tact switch under the original rubber.
I was pondering a switch as a replacement indeed. But since the actual button was completely gone, the cast replacement was always a thing. Since it works pretty good now, I'll keep it like that.
HI, Atkelar the puppet buy complex material on ebay , the product is clean inside (power supply pcb very clean ! )you are a genius for refurbish material !
That thing is around 20kg... it's "mobile" for a very wide definition of "mobility" :D - I thought about it briefly, but I am not sure if 3D print would be sturdy enough. The handle only connects to the outer shell anyway, so if I come across an option, it's just four screws to remove :D
