My goodness, Graeme! I was wondering if you were able to breathe for all that guided tour! 😂 I love your workshop and reuse of all that can be reused. One can tell how passionate you are with having materials and tools at hand to make best use of your skills. It’s a working museum that must bring you lots of pleasure. My Dad WAS a draughtsman. His shed also looked just like this. He never threw anything away. I still have most of it

a great workshop/storage space tour, none of the stuff is junk and could be needed one day, old tools are the best and as Graeme said more than one life time of use, maybe your grand kids will use them one day mike

Brought back so many memories of my grandads workshop he was always in there making thing’s repairing thing’s and he never threw anything away I loved it in there, your Dad is right about the old tools I’d rather use the older tools compared to the newer ones, your Dad is such a great character 👍

Your Dad is a cool, extremely knowledgeable man! He is full of young life, and just one of those people that I would love to run across in a hunting or hardware store and have a conversation with! I think the word you were looking for is ‘reciprocating’ saw, not ‘reciprocal’.😊

Seeing this reminds me so much of my grandads garage/workshop. Especially the old metal tool box and when he pulled out the mitre saw with the earth tape around the handle!

I love it when items i own are worn down and become irrepairable. When i throw em away then, i am happy. Because i know i really used them for all theyre worth. I do enjoy new things, but i prefer to repair and reuse as long as i can. Great to see a shop that OOOOZES that sentiment

Hello from Germany! What a nice roomtour. Your dad is an impressive worksman (and great angler, for sure!). I love his tipps and advices! But I know about that little problem of this gluey fingers. If you're searching a tool and can't find it - have a short look to your father's garage... 🤣 You'll find things you never have expected to be found again in your life. In my case it is my brother... (no, I haven't lost _him_ , but some of my tools)😉 And for sure, never he has "stolen" it. It was just borrowed a few years ago... Very nice video, thanks for showing us this treasure trove! I've always been a bit of a similar mindset - 'why throw away something you'll have to buy again eventually'. I got it from my dad, who would've got along right well with Graeme, I feel! Now, I've got a storage unit mostly full of 'solutions in wait of problems', and hope I'll eventually get settled down somewhere more permanently where I could have a little workshop like this to just tinker with stuff.

Man his garage looks like my dads when he passed away. I now have dads collection of tools. May watch this again so i can organize all the stuff i have.

That "floorboard lifter" is called a Wonder Bar and it can be quite effective at lifting floorboards but that's far from it's only use. 🙂
