Thank you ❤ I think the key is using every bit of space you can even if if means using a step stool to reach things. The bits I don't use all the time are up high.
You have an amazing studio! I love the drawer system for your oils, butters, etc! I spend too much time pulling oils from the back of my shelves, well actually it's a cabinet.thank you for sharing! I love seeing other soap makers work space/ studio's, as well as crafters and artists spaces. I also keep youtube playing either music or soapers while I'm soaping! Blessed Be!

I'd been dreaming about my own little workspace separate to the house for almost 12 months before we moved. I was always taught to turn dreams into reality :)
Thank you so much for sharing. What a fabulous working environment you've created. So many ideas I love but I especially like the shop entry display area and wrapping/packing bench ❤️

Wow Keely! Thank you so much for the video. Your work room is amazing. I am only starting out in making soap and candles etc and as a beginner I was thinking that I had gone a bit over the top with everything that I bought, but after seeing your things I don’t think like that anymore. I have found this craft late in life so I don’t think I will reach your example but it is good to look back to and get some ideas. I have watched a few of your tutorial videos and find them very easy and informative. I look forward to more videos from you 😊
Soy and Shea Keeley I did as you said and sent a message through the contact us on your website. That was on Sunday night. As I have had no reply I was wondering if you had received it and maybe too busy at the moment to reply. If that is the case then I don’t mind waiting longer. Just didn’t know if you received it. 😊. One question I did forget to ask is what shelf life do these products have after we make them, that’s including candles? Thank you
@@Maddie5004 hi, sorry I did get the email. This week has been rather stressful so haven't had time to attend to questions. I have sent a reply tonight. With regards to shelf life, that is dependant on the quality and life of ingredients. For candles, some waxes have better shelf life than others. For bath and body products, not including soap, you need to know the shelf life of the raw ingredients to know the possible use by dates. The only way to get a true shelf life is to have them tested in a laboratory
Oh Wow I am in Love with your Shop ! You are so Organized ! I can only hope to turn my little Shed into a shop as glorious as yours ! Thank You so much for the Tour ! Your fan from Southwestern Indiana in the U.S.A.
AWESOME BLOSSOM 💚⚘💙 WOW - YOU are very well supplied and organized! I bet it smells fantastically exotic in your shop.♥️ You have a serious business there. It was a wonderful tour. I'm trying to start a craft business but my storage building is a block away from me now. I'm trying to find someone to move the building for me. Several years ago I had a business at my house in a small trailer 8X30 where I sold fishing bait and fishing supplies. It went very well until The place was broken into and most everything stolen. I sold LIVE bait, i.e., two types of worms, small red worms I grew the redworms myself and ordered the nightcrawlers) and large nightcrawlers; fish minnows; and grubs. I did this as a single mom plus I worked at an office job 40 hours per week. After I was robbed, I sold everything but the tackle supplies. It was hard but worth it at the time. I am retired now. Again Wonderful view of your business.!♥️
I am so sorry to hear this. It is heartbreaking when people actively set out to ruin what others have worked so hard for. I hope you can get your storage moved soon and have your craft business up and running. I have some young ladies that walk by my workshop most days that comment on the smells wafting outside ❤
Wow!! I've just discovered your channel and watched several videos already but this one blew me away!! Love how you've organized everything! What a great space to create in. I look.forward to watching more! The Crazy Soap Lady from British Columbia.

Royal Apple Berry Thank you stopping by and watching - I see you are busy ❤ I'm a little OCD about being organised but it doesn't equate to being tidy 😉 only at the end of each week so I can start fresh
Thank you 🧡 I wish I could leave links but unfortunately the seller has now gone from Ebay and I can't find them. It will be a sad day if these break 😔
Absolutely Gorgeous! 💖 Thank you for ALL of the links & most of all, your love & caring for others. I recently found you by accident & I'm addicted to your videos 👍Can you also please tell me where you bought your large scale? It seems like it may be VERY Accurate 😍Thank you in advance 😄Much Blessings 🙏 to you .
Thank you ❤ I love that I can share my passion. I was getting my scales from Ebay but have recently order a set from Amazon which should arrive this week. I look for electronic digital scales and make sure they're in 1g increments
How did u learn so much about candles and soaps? How much product did u waste with trial and error? And how long did it take ypu to be happy with what you were making? Also could u do some candle making videos?
I have this obsession with all things crafty and love to learn how to make things. I learned about candle making through purchasing kits and reading all the information I could find from supplier and manufacturer sites. I had been making for 4 years before I even discovered Facebook groups. I have gone through many kilos of wasted wax - especially in 2017 when my preferred wax was taken off the market and I had to go through testing again - I think I went through about 40-50kg of wax and was thankful when Advanced come back. I was making candles for 2 yrs before I started selling. I will one day do a video on candle making but I am trying to work out the best way to do it, as what works for one person, may not work for another. I have purchased numerous soap and bath and body books over the years to learn all about the raw ingredients I can use in products. At the start I did waste a lot of ingredients but as I have learned more about the ingredients, how they behave, what their make-up is etc, I find I get less wastage. I also had a lot of wastage as when I first started, I had tingling sensations from my creams and wouldn't let anyone else try them. Eventually someone tried it and said they didn't know what I was talking about - turns out I am allergic to Liquid Germall which was the preservative that come in my kit. I am constantly researching ingredients and writing notes about all the ingredients I use so I know what will and won't work. I don't always get it right first time, but I find these days I waste less now than I used too. Sometimes, the product is still useable, just not what I want to sell. When researching, I recommend trusted sites like New Directions, Soap Queen etc for ingredient information or the cosmetics info site. Purchasing books from trusted sources. I never trust recipes on Pinterest. I learned a long time ago not to take information on Facebook groups seriously - take the information then research it yourself.
Your work space is absolutely a dream come true. I would like to know the range of room temperature for your soap making please? Thank you for sharing.
Love Love Love! my workspace at the moment is a spare room we have converted to work for that i need. safe to say mine is nowhere near as organized & neat as this. Definitely time for me to resort my space i think. Those soap cure cards are brilliant. i currently use a note pad and its getting really hard to follow where i am at these cards are a good idea & look like an easier way to track them. do you keep the cards once soaps are wrapped and ready for sale or once they are wrapped are they no longer needed?
Thank you 🧡 I started in the kitchen before moving to the spare room (then second room 😆). A studio will happen 🧡 When my soaps finished curing, I never kept the card
What a beautiful shop just judging from all the material you have involved in it. it’s cost you a lot of money the whole time I’m thinking with all that are you really making a profit. you’ve sold enough soap and candles to pay for all that and make a profit if you have congrats that’s a monumental task to have that many fragrances that much stuff and make a profit not everybody can do that you should be proud of yourself
Thank you 😊 It certainly is hard to make a profitable craft based business but determination makes it possible. This took a lot of saving and sacrifices in personal life but well worth it. The down side is that the tax man comes knocking each year asking for his cut 😆
Soy and Shea Yeah that’s true. Here in the states if you sell to a business you don’t have to collect sales tax. That’s why I decided to only sell to other shops and let them do the sales and collect the sales tax. I am retired now and my income is so low I don’t have to file federal income taxes. I can earn another $12,000 before I have to start paying federal income tax. So guess what my thresholds going to be. I quit making soap for about four years and I’m getting back into it now. (burn out) this time I’m going to try to keep it fun and profitable
hello Soy and Shea How are you? when you make candle making can you able to use Stoneware (canister), rubberwood (lid) and silicone (ring) container is it safe for candle making?
Hi, you would need to conduct testing on any jar that you want to use. It needs to be capable of holding heat for a prolonged period of time. Some homeware containers are not suitable.
Wow...I'd LOVE this space!!! I know the seller has gone from eBay but would you mind telling me the name of the melters you use for the wax? I have no idea what to search for online to get something like that haha! Thanks so much x
I've not seen anything like the melting pots I've got since. I just looked up wax melting pot when I was looking and they popped up. There are other types that come up under that search.
