Ah yes, digital optical modules. Also known as cameras Edit to clarify, these aren’t exactly cameras but when you actually get down to the science they’re extremely similar. Cameras detect photons and take that information to display a picture, these things detect neutrinos and decode the pattern into computer data. Effectively like a digital camera just with a lot more data and no image.

Could you explain? Why wouldn't they be able to bounce EMF off the ionosphere? I'm not super well versed in this, but I was a radio and radar technician in the US Navy, and that's how FM radio, as well as a number of other EMF systems work.... There's also bouncing signals off of near earth orbit objects. I'm not saying this system he's talking about is real, I'm just curious as to why you think it would only work with a line if sight...
