I actually tried this recipe and it came out soo soft! I did add 2 extra tablespoon of Cocoa powder and a half cup more of sugar. Also, I did not add baking soda.Also, I did not add 1/4 cup of red color, instead I used a tablespoon of Mccormick Red food color. However, it came out nice ❤😄🙏Thank you

I made my own vanilla extract a number of years ago. I paid $12 for a big bag of beans which is still not empty after all these years and I bought some vodka, put the beans in, shook the bottles once in a while, then after a couple months I used coffee filters to strain the bits of vanilla out of the vodka. $12 plus Cost of vodka yielded all the vanilla I’ll ever use. Good quality, moist beans makes positive difference.

Omgoodness 😊, y’all I need you to make me one. I CANNOT bake. You make it look so easy but mine baked goods never come out right and I don’t know why. I tried the potato bread, that didn’t come out either. This red velvet is my new favorite. I used to love pound cake, so when I saw your red velvet pound cake, I was in hog heaven. But again, did not turn out good for me. I don’t really care for layer cakes, but imma try this one cause it looks easy, no creaming the butter and sugar together and all that stuff. Teresa you are the best, and you both are blessed to have each other. Eric, it’s true cause God said, when a man findeth a wife, he finds a good thing, (para phrasing I think ( my daddy used to always tell us that about our moma, he said that the Bible says), but I’m not sure if that’s really in the Bible. Looks amazing, I want to bake it for this Thanksgiving have a quick question-how did you arrange 3 layers on the oven shelves? I usually have a challenge with that 3rd layer going on the shelf underneath the top 2 and sometimes have to bake it separately. You didn't seem to have that challenge, I would like to know how you arranged all 3 layers in the oven. Thank you and love that you've created this channel. God bless you and your family!
Hello dear ☺️I use a 8” pan when I do three layers. A 9” pan should be used for a 2 layer just evenly add the batter and you would bake a little longer. Keep checking so you won’t over bake all ovens bake differently

I don’t know what I did wrong, but my cake came out very thick and it wasn’t as loose as yours wasn’t as moist but I followed what you said for the oil
