Several World beauty pageant winners on August 28 visited J&K and witnessed the serene beauty of ‘Naya Kashmir’. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska along with Miss World India Sini Shetty and Miss World Caribbean Emmy Pena visited the Valley. During their visit to Kashmir, ‘World Beauties’ took a boat ride at iconic Dal Lake and enjoyed picturesque landscapes. Their visit to the Valley comes ahead of 71st edition of Miss World 2023 pageant set to be held in India later this year. After the abrogation of Article 370, Srinagar successfully hosted its first ever major international event i.e. G20 Tourism Working Group meet. Notably, after the abrogation of Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir has come up as a major hotspot of tourism. As per the latest data from the government, almost 1.27 crore tourists have visited Kashmir since January 2023.
