Giving the Romans so many people made it impossible to expand properly because they first had to make sure than the capitol was even sustainable.

Other than the historical (thrace placed too North, Dacia placed too North, and giving thrace and dacia low populations when they were actually estimated to have behemoth populations and took the romans 200k men, as in multiple legions worth from all over the empire, to conquer, I'd have personally placed the dacians are orcs or dwarves) and geographical (completely missing the south and east of the carpathians which make a sort of Triangle în România) this was a pretty good video

I wish I could make worlds as good as you, I've made a smaller version of europe because I do it so big. I have a terrible Denmark, cut off North Scandinavia and the countries aren't in the perfect spots. (Except for Ireland and the UK, of course.)

Hate to break it to you but its not Iron NOR Lava, it's because of the amount of people they have if there's too much people like 50 or 100 with 5 lands they will literally starve so all they well do is make farm's. so that the people won't die for starvation again

The game/simulation omits one important historical factor: land was often an obstacle, while sea was a way to transport, trade and expand. Often the rims around seas were settled, while the interior was less populated or known

It also doesnt help how people here can swim across entire oceans without much issue. Someone else I follow covered the sea in piranhas to enforce some sensible colonization.

What part of it exactly? There was a pre-era (Dong Zhuo?) with more than just 3 kingdoms, then the three kingdoms proper and then the aftermath.

@@wu1ming9shi my introduction to the whole 3 kingdoms was dynasty warriors, after that I read a few books on it. It is complicated but if you break it down to the different dynasties it does simplify things a bit

Hey Nook, I just realized and you can turn peace on and off in the settings. I use this to simulate times of peace and then times of "world war". I'll also get bored, cause a world threatening disaster and then play out the post apocalyptic world. Then I'll create alternate saves/timelines to see different butterfly effects I love this little game...

I think half of your initial Roman population died of starvation. That certainly didn't help. Their position limited their expansion unlike the gauls and carthagians. I also wish this game had a "fill" tool like on MS paint. I know you certainly could have used it. Your maps are beautiful.

Actually, it could have been much cooler if you used Dwarves as Romans. Firstly, they are very cultured and build roads as well just like the humans, secondly, their color scheme is red which is sort of a color of the Roman Empire, and most importantly- Their architecture looks a lot like that of romans. Their military camp is literally a miniature Coliseum!

I like to make a random map and make Germany, Russia, Japan, America, and England, and let it play out, then in late game where every faction has about 100 people I draw bridges between all the factions, it becomes bloody real quick

Hm... One difference is also the tech... Romes biggest advantage wasn't the numbers in it's early stages. It actually was the way they were organized and their technologies. They brought the idea of roads, schools, bathhouses, sewers and other stuff to many countries those times. So you could say they were also technologically ahead in some ways. Of course, the numbers followed with each province they were able to draft from later on.
