World Breaking Dragons Have Arrived! - The ANCIENT Dragon - Day of Dragons Survival Game Update 

The dragon with the jellyfish floaties over the head was i. It is currently a patreon life time reward cosmetics, as it is being tested for now. Eventually different cosmetics such as the jellyfish will be unlockable by players via dragon pearls they can collect. Not much else is currently known on the system though.

If they add a weather cycle, it's going to be awesome flying through storms, then flying above the storm to see a clear sky.

I'm really happy seeing all the work and development going into Day of Dragons, A few years ago when i initially showed people the game i was really worried after the fact with all the money on the line. Happy to say i'm not worried anymore :)

Happy to see Day of Dragons, rose up, and proved their worth. Even though it could've been handled better by the leader, what done is done, now can only move forward, and show their worth, so to speak

This... is amazing. I was so let down and honestly heartbroken when this game was named a scam, but now with all this work put into it and how far it's come, it has my full support and I can't wait to play.

Everything looks great. For me I hope they add more to do in the game. I get “the isle” sort of game play, but for me I’m not a big fan. I think the game needs AI creatures, dragons, enemies etc. making it more of a survival game would bring in a lot more players and add replay ability. I hope they keep working on this game because it has been a huge turnaround which is great to see

So while watching these air fights it made me think... what if they added something in where you could grab onto each other during a fight (like raptors grabbing things in the isle) but if you both hit the ground it can kill you or do a lot of damage so you have to split.

Just seeing how well theye made the movements and reactions makes me so happy. Seeing the body parts move even just a little during the flight like the tail adds so much to the quality 👌

i hope ancient will never be obtainable since big clans already claim the mushrooms for themselves making it impossible for regular players to become elder, it would be bad if the major clans start farming for ancient dragons

For the acid spitters, you have to crouch first then shift/sprint to do a faster run :p you cant just hold shift to sprint or you will end up trotting instead sprinting. Thats why the smaller ones seemed faster :)

I love dragons so seeing the fact this game wasn’t a scam makes me so happy because it’s hard to find a good dragon game

These dragons look astoundinly beautiful and feel so real due to the way they move. Keep this up and this could change the game play and animation of creature and monsters everywhere!

I remember hearing about the scam ages ago and following it for a while because I was so hopeful for a good dragon game. Glad to see it's doing better now! I prolly won't play it still due to the reputation until I know for sure or get bored one day, but at least some people seem to be turning the game into good!

You know what this game reminds me of? A novel series called Wings of Fire. Anyone else remember this?

I cant wait to see a single player option come up for this game so that newer players like myself can get to know the world and the mechanics of the game. absolutely in love with it!!!

I'm glad to hear that things with DoD are starting to take a much better turn and while I still don't think I have it in me yet to try buying and supporting this game, I'm absolutely becoming more and more impressed with their progress and change with each new video. I still have my fingers crossed for a good future for this game. A positive one that can not only leave behind the rocky past it had, but entirely make up for it and then some.

On an official server I’ve actually met I believe the head dev! I forgot what their user was but people were badgering them on how the games still a scam, this was still when flame stalker was in early dev. But they were sincere and polite saying they take pride in this new realization of the game where they will make the game as intended on the kickstarter

Hey! I always love seeing your videos on Day Of Dragons. By the way, to sprint with the Acid Spitter Drake you need to crouch first and then start running.

I plan on getting the game soon. You showing the work from Maya and Unreal Engine is really cool because I can relate to it. I'm in school for Game Art and I have to use both of those. It's what I will be working with when I graduate and I really want to get good enough to create models and animate them like that. Awesome content as always!

How far the games come, wow! I'm so proud of the developers for actually taking a step to fixing their game up, I just hope they've learned their lesson from there little scandals they had going in the beginning.

I wanna see what would happen if players could eventually unlock Ancient dragons. I feel like they would have to make a stronger boss to be able to keep up with that. It'd be cool to unlocj ancient but honestly super over powered

I would LOVE for the ancient dragon to be this huge boss dragon that would chase you if you're spotted.

I'm so excited for the bio dragon I pledged for it when the Kickstarter happened and I just love it's concept

you can sprint as an acid spitter if you press C and sneak and then go into running from the sneaking position

For the first one the surrender sounds great but the threat sounds like and angry/upset wolf.

Just a little info for the asd the small one don’t out run you it’s just that you where not sprinting press crouch and after try to sprint and you will go super fast

The Wyvern Threat sounds WAY too much like a angry Tiger/Lion and imo kinda breaks the immersion I'd like to see that improved and/or changed to sound more like an actual dragon. The Threaten & Friendly I ADORE! Those are insanely well done! The Bio Juvi sounds are really cute, not too sure how I feel about the surrender though like I love the little "wimper" they were going for but at the same time it kinda sounds a little too close to an actual puppy wimper. So I'm not sure but over all excellent work so far And for the Elemental just 1million outta ten! I am IN LOVE with the taunt THAT'S EXACTLY how I hoped it would look and sound. plus the animations for each call are amamzing! Although I would like to maybe see the Elemental show more "fear" in its fear animation. Maybe have it cover it's face more like its cowering or something like that. but Still one of my faves out of all of the previews shown in the video!

I really loved it, but i was expecting a bit more from the Ancient; a new model or a much bigger size. However i would be fine with the size of the Ancient, if there was something bigger in play, like a Dragon God species. Tho i think these would have to at least be, at head height, as big as the top of a mountain (this would have to be AI).

the new MASSIVE map is gonna be awesome! the canyon will be good for flight practice, like getting more control over the speed and flight of the dragon, depends on the dragon. once the new map is here i am going to grab my shadowscale and explore, flying through the canyons and beauty

I hope they give this game a better fight system specifically melee fighting (maybe aerial too? Being able to barrel roll to dodge etc.)

The bio dragon reminds me of rainwings from the Wings Of Fire book series

I wish they would make the ancient dragon available for some players that are really committed to the game, and adding a clan system will be great. Maybe they can add 4 structures on the map that can be used for clan battles. And the ancient dragon can be used as a tank/berserker and maybe another dragon can be a long range and then maybe a healer so ppl can make pvp more fun

The jelly fish u see in the video is a patreon reward of the official dod, but have no use in the game however, it is for decoration. At the island in the middle of the lake u can find them too.

I'm very happy to see this game getting support back from you, Anth. It's honestly going well, and I feel a bit bad for having one of the top tiers for the backers (original Black/White/Bio beta combo!) and I'm not playing it too much, I need to. Just need some solid people to play with! I got a Shadowscale to elder and I have to say, the flying in this game is one of the most immersive and honestly fun... once you get used to it! The flying is so different, yet you really feel like you're on the wings of a massive beast... and the fact that flying when you're a baby is hard, it gets easier as you grow makes it all the more realistic! (The amount of water crashes my little shadowscale endured as a baby...)

DoD is aiming *high!* And now that, from what I understand the devs are hard at work (and whoever was doing the scam is long gone, has reformed, *or* there was no scam at all! Only people with tall poppy syndrome, looking for views or trying to rip a good thing apart)! This game is something I’d really like to get. On another note, personally I think, that since there was a “scam” to do with this game (or jealous people trying to rip down a good thing), everyone in the gaming community is giving this game a bad rep, when has *proved* by games like No Man’s Sky, release matters little if the devs has passion, they truly care about the game and they persist with the game - through all the highs and the lows.

The ancient dragons should be world bosses because if the scale of power for the dragon says it could take down 10 adult dragons then it would be a world boss maybe for different high tier loot zones that would be a good shout

I really wish they would add more types of attacking except for biting and breathing.. it would be really cool too see dragons duking it out mid air with their claws and tails..

I really hope this game comes to consoles so more people can play

They should make the ancient dragon... stand out. From the elder and the other dragons. A different colored flame for one. Blue or purple or white or... something that shows that the ancients breath is far more powerful than other dragons. Tweak the animations that make them more menacing. Perhaps maybe even different crests or holes or scars in the wings. More physical differences that really sets it apart. Makes it more Severe.

Give it another 5 years this game will be so good

Maybe make the dragons have more of a aligator hissing sound, dinosaurs most likely hissed in a way I think sounds like alligators so it would be like prehistoric times… 🐊

My only problem with the game is how similar they make models to HTTYD: SS and Nightfury, Inferno Ravager and Monstrous Nightmare, Hybrid and Stormcutter, and the list goes on

Survival I think is great for the full experience but there are some players who like just the sand box game mode or at least make to where we can choose in size.

Great to do me more progress in this game! I’ve played it and pretty much all it is is waiting to grow and well that’s pretty much it. So i hope more content gets added to make it so you actually gotta do stuff.

i really hope they also add floating islands, floating cities, cities and towns, villages, farmlands, monasteries, castles, etc. so we can start rampaging humanity and have them start attacking back.

I remember when this game was a 99% chance of being a scam, glad to see the devs sharing their progress with the community.

i hope when the game is fully made it is not stuck in being a steam exclusive, otherwise i will never get to play it. Also it is so cool! seeing the map built and the dragon meshes on the map...i am a beginner game maker just starting to learn how threw the game known as Crayta...i would love one day to work on an awesome amazing game like DoD!

I think ancients should be a thing for people who are really invested like if you spend a week straight spending 4 hours everyday to the dragon then you deserve to be that powerful and massive and a good way to reward such people

Im so glad to see this game finally redeem itself. Whats happened has happened, if it were a scam, they would have likely run off with the money and disspeared into the void by now. However it still has a long way to go, its systems are being fleshed out but theres still not much of a game yet, but it is a good sign that theyre actually doing work instead of looking like being an asset flip back when it was originally conceived

If they were to make the ancient a playable, they could make it a random generator type. Like the player can attempt to become ancient by playing as the dragon it's enlarged of or, by completing a rarely given quest. idk, just throwing thoughts, if there of use cool, if not, cool too
