Until November 26, the department of Nariño is home to the IX World Handball Championship - Chaza, organized by the International Confederation of Ball by Hand - CIJB, with support from the Government of Nariño.
The tournament that is played in the south of the country will have the modalities known as: International, Llargues, One Wall, and for being Nariño venue will be included only the native game of Chaza a Mano in the modalities of Bombo and Tabla as an exhibition.
