Crashed out in the American round and the suspens remains for the World Cup
Last weekend was the second to last World Cup of the season.
A lot on the line as the overall standing was super tight.
I’m Always happy to come over seas and race in front of a rad crowd, the track there was so tough as it’s a hard mix of technical, physical and unpredictable.
I was relieved to have some sun on the last days of the week and I was feeling solid for another good race.
Up until the last run, I was the fastest in practice, qualifying and semi finals. I tried to capitalise on the finals towards the overall and fully binned it in one of the last rock sections…
Really hard pill to swallow as my main competitors didn’t score big points and I could have made a really comfortable gap going into the last race of the season but it is what it is.
My mistake and my own responsability.
It could have been a season ender so I’m glad I could walk away, in a bad shape, but walk away.
Another good day racing wise as the young Irish guys put up a great show going 1-2 for the first time ever in the history. Things I like to see.
For now, I’m Trying as much as I can to recover for the last race and be 100%. It’s going to be really difficult but I’ll give it my best shot.
