I think you should apologize about your comment. Bam Martin & Jawn Ha are lead choreographers and will always be members of GRV. They actually were suppose to compete, but due to ABDC they are on break from GRV till ABDC is over. Why would you make such a dumb statement that they took their own choreo.

They are far more skilled big whoop. You're just one of those people who think bboy is the only thing that matters, I'm not against bboy because I respect all dances for what it is. Their are bboys & bgirls within this group & commuity, they do both. One of the main choreographers for this team is a bboy. Same sex marriage has nothing to do with this. Totally irrelevant. I take it you hardly know much, the Hype consists of over 30 members and that's just the senior crew, JabbaWockeeZ is quite large also. Not too sure about the sizes of Poreotics and Beat Freaks, but GRV went hard and took it home, that ending was hella sick. I really didn't see much "Hype" in there and I'm from that studio, also didn't really see any Beat Freaks, Jabba, or Poreotics so educate yourself a bit because just because some moves might look similar doesn't mean they're copying anyone.

why did they bite off of super crew or academy of hype? because they did some flips or something? because someone flipped over another person? oh, is Academy of Hype the first team that invented marching? or how about Kaori Alive? is it because of the part when they got into a clump at around 3:30 or so and did those effects? so you're saying academy of villains bit off of kaori alive too, right? because they did that too. everyone influences everyone. their choreo is all GRV

So apparently you don't realize how much strict training it takes to perfect the art of ballet, jazz, tango, and so many more. Bboying is one of the more difficult styles of hiphop dance, but educate yourself and see how difficult it is to master popping and locking. The massive amount of styles that originate from popping make it more difficult to master than bboying.

Actually the first song starting at 0:35 is "Invasion" by Christian Poulet and Jean-Yves Rigo. Or also known as the entrance theme for the pro-wrestler Goldberg in WCW/WWE. Tight Eyez starts at 0:53. Just a small correction, aint mad or anything. But forreal, this set was dope af. Bam, Jawn, and the rest of GRV did an amazing job putting this one together. Definitely deserved to win. Well thought out, great concepts. Good shit, GRV.

I was looking through the comments for the song list and I just have to say, whether you go into doing choreography or stick with all B-boying, it's still self expression. I'm a person who'd rather do only B-boy than choreography, but I still think putting B-boy into choreography is a dope idea because it's like sending people from the B-boy world into another world like representatives from a country. WOD or BOTY, you're still expressing yourself, and that's what B-boying is all about. :)

Oh my gah, the amount of ignorance in some of these comments are overwhelming! -The "beef" has been settled, so if anyone brings it up again, you're an idiot. -A few AoSwag members are also on GRV, NOT AoHype (whom reside in HAWAII, which is nowhere near where GRV practices) -No one bit off anybody. Period. A Comment by gdoubled85 explains the situation in detail. So find it before you spit bull. ALL of these teams work their asses off to entertain and inspire, so show them respect or gtfo.

This was so damn sick in person the energy the Hype and the Level of dedication the performance was unreal!! GRV had a well deserved 1st place and those of you who criticize crews cuz of shit you may have seen before and classify it as "BITING" you really dont know much because if that was the case then everyone who dances would be one because we all use moves that we have seen before there is a diff between Biting someones tricks and Choreo and Being Inspired by it Learn something!!

If you are going to make accusations in terms of biting, do your homework first before making statements. Just food for thought...Common Ground marched in their army set in Bodyrock 09...did Hype or GRV bite them? Meccamee wore jerseys at this past Bridge, did AOV bite? Facepaint...Team Millennia Circus set as well as Breed's Clown set. Stunts? So any team that stunts from here on out is considered biting? Teams from all over socal have been stunting for so many years...jussayin

This was hella sick, but I wonder how they would do without using one professional choreography. I mean I understand that BAM Martin is a GRV but you shouldn't just be allowed to use the entire choreo for their set. But I do believe they deserved first place. They didn't copy any other choreos, they were influenced by concepts. Your influenced by concepts whenever you take a dance class, that's their point. They have a hella lot of concepts in their arsenal and they make em dope! Good job GRV!

they SHOULD and ARE allowed to use it for their set. just because bam and jawn aren't there doesn't mean they can't use it...it's still and always will be GRV choreo. but thats what i believe. thank you for your opinion and appreciating it! grv rocked it as always

whoa, know your history, GRV has been doing buck pieces before AOV was even created. jawn Ha's piece is the closest to dubstep GRV has, and that was in the last set as well...There were only 2 stunts in the set...stunts GRV has used before...God, people are idiots..GRV is the team known for their buck style, not AOV, get your shit straight.

its the choreographers who influence each other not the groups, they all know each other or have worked on projects together in the past and have each influenced one another in certain types of dance, both groups were dope anyway, i dont see why one has to be better than the other *shrug*

Visually that's insane!!! With all these guys looking like soldiers, I thought I was at war in Afghanistan. I just wished the video was of better quality because there r so many clever little moves we're missing, and to really notice them u need to watch the video a few times.

i think if you're gonna accuse GRV for biting please defend your case and do not just throw out generalizations. just because one team did a march and GRV did one doesn't equate to biting. i watched both those sets and they could not be anymore different.

I usually hate watching huge crews perform because they tend to look really sloppy and because the choreography tends to be too simple. But man, GRV killed it. Super clean AND intricate. Big ups to GRV!

well at 3:50 they used Jawn Ha's Choreo as well (in GRV too). but i think it's alright, i agree they shouldn't use entire choreo's, but nonetheless very good performances

it's short for groove. the original team/club back in the day was groove 57 before david lim took it over.
