To think about that the graphics was made in MSPaint by one guy from Poland shows that you don't need tools for hundreds of dollars, just dedication and skill
This is very inspired by his works. The creator of this game, Pawel, is also a part-time dentist, which I find very amusing lol. I heard that they recently interviewed Ito himself, and the interview has yet to be translated but I'm waiting on that!!
Looks rather advanced for 1-bit but I think I get the gist of this game. Looks rather cool from the art style. Also looks hella gruesome which is a plus for a horror game!
@@SpikeTheWolf I would say it's pretty much nothing like earthbound lol. It's more like a traditional rpg, takes elements from stuff like arkham horror
Been playing World of Horror ever since it originally launched. Its one of my absolute FAVORITES to just pick up and play at random times. I highly recommend this
The NES vibes from it makes me feel like I’m 8 years old again, which is another “scary factor” for me while interacting with some horror material. Very interesting.
Not only does this look INSANE but the music is amaaazing. Wow. I'm usually scared of horror games but I'm putting my fear aside to experience whatever this OST is going to be like lol
2 months later and this finally pops up on my feed. Looks awesome, can’t wait to download it. Btw, interesting thought, what if Guillermo del Toro directed some Junji Ito stories? I feel like he’s the only big name director who could pull it off
@@ok_listen it basically plays out like a VN with turn-based combat. There's a lot of reading, a modest amount of animations, and some math to top it off.
I haven’t seen games like these in YEARS. (Maybe like 3-5) horror games from these type have ALWAYS been my favorite genre of games, im not entirely sure what the game of genre these games are but whatever it is, it’s definitely my top 1 favorite
Everyone mentioning Junji Ito and sure, he was inspiration for this game but fr people..read more horror authors there is a lot of great horror mangas out there.
Battle Royale never looked this eerie and calm before. Clearly what lurks in the dark is already planning on pulling them by the tail instantaneously and without any hesitation.
It's just for the trailer, but the in-game art-style is the same, all characters (and entities) you see in the trailer are encounterable in the game and the situations they illustrate can all happen within the game.
You CAN fight the horrors (and sometimes there is no escape and you HAVE to fight). The question is... did you prepare well enough to actually survive the encounter?
