Afterthought: It is so cool to see Bobbi keep this team together! And just seeing this team celebrating in Victory Lane, with little Jaxx Johnson on top of the car. Like a lot of other people.... How special is this? Tears of joy and sadness at the same time. So happy for David and the 41 team. RIP in Jason. Everything looks to be ok. Your son is a happy little boy again. I will have to mention the run by Logan Schuhart. That was spectacular. He needed two more laps. Ruetzel held them off as long as the car would. So very happy for him. Watched him race in the Gulf South Div of the ASCS on tracks around east texas and Louisiana. Class act all the way. All this kid needs is some money. Pretty sure someone will figure that out. Again, congrats to the 41. Outstanding !! On the other hand, Donny Schatz continues to be less than spectacular. How disappointing does he feel. I wish I knew enough about it to know what his problems are. But hey, it REALLY is nice to see someone else take the wins.
Donny was behind the 8 ball all week. Lost a motor on his qualifying night, ran his ass off from 24th to 11th in the feature Wednesday. Then had a throttle problem Saturday night in the A (I think they said there was mud under his throttle pedal?) Then he ran his ass off again from 24th to a 9th place finish. So he salvaged a top 10, not too bad. This year was the first year since 2004 that he had finished worse than 2nd at the Nationals.
This has been an amazing week of racing, my first time to the Nationals. Went for both qualifying days. It was really amazing and can't wait to come back next year for Hard Knox and Championship Night!
I said last night I’d love to see JJR win it. Usually I’m pulling for Logan being from pa but I said gravel and then Logan and that’s how it ended up. Awesome run for both.
Believe me.....7 feature wins, 3rd in points, Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup and Knoxville Nationals win, $150,000 payday.... David’s not going anywhere. 🏁FOREVER41🏁
The best highlights. That was an awesome race! Congrats David Gravel. Fine racing! this was just insane. those boys just kept goin no matter what! Sweet still finished 6th? right...who the heck gave this thumbs down? Wow this is sprint racing I have to admit to World of outlaws for maybe easing up regulations or is it cause I'm just seeing the highlights.....Thumbs UP!
Tear the engine apart. Weigh the car then re-weigh. Congrats to GRAVEL the stuff used to put in my driveway. I have not seen a driver tear away from the others then stay away from everyone else. It has been very long time since I 👀 such a DOMINANT performance like this.
