World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series Feature Event Highlights from Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on October 22nd, 2022. To view the full race, visit DIRTVision.com.
Lance is a living legend. Still can drive the wheels off of a sprint car at his age! Never bad mouths his competitors and is humble. Can't help but admire him. He drove a great race with all those restarts from yellows and reds.
It's something about these tracks in this area in my opinion produces the absolute best drivers out there. So much talent on dirt seems to come from this area. I love following drivers on the WOO tour especially the guys that came from PA and watching them go all over the country to different tracks and run but there doesn't seem to be anywhere else that when the WOO come to town the local guys give them a run for there money like the drivers in this area do. Not only the tracks right here in Central PA but every once in awhile a local driver heads out to follow the outlaws and snakes another win from them on the road. Love this sport love seeing our local guys take it yet again in our back yard congrats to all and always one hell of a show when all these big names take the track. Can't wait until next season.
@Brian Siler I’m sorry but you’re only mentioning the guys that stayed local. Look at the guys that made to traveling series from Cali. Jason Meyers, Larson, Sweet, Macedo, Gio Scelz. There’s more I’m forgetting but all Cali guys.
@Brian Siler Watching a 10 lap heat one Friday night a substitute announcer from Winchester, Va said as the checkers waived,"The front went to the back, the back went to the front. That is how it is supposed to work".
I remember watching Lance at the Grove when he was still wet behind the ears just starting his career in the Dyer Masonry 461 sprint. He still got it. Moved out of PA in 2000. Miss the Grove. Lived 20 minutes away.
Lance Dewease beats the WOO again at Williams Grove Speedway with the PA Posse sweeping the podium with Brent Marks 2nd and Anthony Macri 3rd. PA Posse owned the WOO this year in Pennsylvania and Brent Marks beat them at Eldora for 2 big money races with the Historical Big One and the Kings Royal.
Are you like the guy who thinks others outside of PA don’t know who wins. Put your head back in your Amish hole and when you get some useful information then pass it along.
Lance has done phenomenal against the WOO guys at Williams Grove. On a side note, hope Macedo cleans it up - been a handful of races where he made questionable decisions.
I can trash talk for the PA Posse even more then just sweeping the podium because I believe the hard charger went to PA Posse DD, Danny Dietrich from 19th to 8th. Congrats to DD for the hard charger and I heard that he beat Freddie Rahmer for the Williams Grove points and this with running less races then Freddie Rahmer for the year. DD had a great season but was quietly having a great season since Brent Marks and Anthony Macri had an off the charts season in 2022. Lance Dewease, Brent Marks, Anthony Macri and Danny Dietrich Congrats for your season in 2022.
You guys only know how to drive those PA tracks. Kudos to Brent Marks for at least getting out of your backyard and having some balls to race elsewhere. Life in PA must be like living on an Amish farm. Dull as hell.
Correct. In theory, they can run a full 40 laps on one tank provided it goes non stop, and the air isn’t great, but in cooler temps, like it usually by the time the NO is run, and the size of the Grove, it’s cutting it close. Races like this(40),the Knoxville Nationals (50), and the Tuscarora 50 (50) typically have a red flag fuel stop planned for.
It wasnt really a scheduled problem. It was A perfect night engine wise because of how cool it was and how dense the air was. They said over the speaker the air was like we were sitting at 50' below sea level. That said there was alot more useable air in the chamber to be mixed with fuel. So they were using a gallon of fuel per lap to keep it happy. They stopped mid way because of reports from crews that the cars were using alot of fuel after heats.
Man, some of you guys take this outlaws vs. posse thing way too seriously lol. Can't we just enjoy the races before all our tracks become strip malls, parking lots, apartments or junkyards?
You posse fans are so funny. If your posse is running outside Pennsylvania, you dont do shit. Outlaws travel around the nation, posse just runs at a few tracks what do you expect. Let's see what any of them do at the Charlotte Nationals. If they even show up. If so, I'll watch you in the "B" main.
I got to meet my favorite driver (Macedo) and shot the shit with him an Philip deitz (crew chief). I can’t thank him enough , love me some jjr racing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
PA Posse trash talker here but easily can back it up, especially this year vs the WOO and the ASCOC. But I will give props and congrats to the 3 California drivers that invaded PA as independent drivers this year with Gio Sczlei winning several times against the PA Posse including this past Friday at BAPS Speedway. Buddy Kofoid had a win at Lincoln this year with several 2nd place finishes in PA including last Saturday at Lincoln speedway to DD. The other California driver that did well in PA was Rico Abreu with a win during the PA speedweeks. California drivers, Gio Sczlei, Buddy Kofoid and Rico Abreu ran well in PA this year. California has plenty of great drivers other then Brad Sweet and Carson Macedo for the WOO regulars or Kyle Larson. Beating the PA Posse or beating the California drivers in California or the independent California drivers that travel are a very difficult task for the WOO.
The guy is no doubt fast and can drive sprint car. He sure did have the luck though on his side for sure. He got the breaks from restarts. Right when he needed them most after losing the lead. I am not sure he had the fastest car to beat. That is racing though.
Do you not realize there's nothing Chevy about those engines, find me a Chevy part number on the block or heads. Toyota and Ford are the only ones that develop an engine for 410 Sprint cars
I could say this to so many of the posts on here, but I choose yours randomly. Most of the PA. fans really have tunnel vision. You can't see the big picture. Sheldon said it best during the draw for dash starting positions. "The 69K will figure out the track and will be hard to beat." If the outlaws ran the PA tracks as often as th PA drivers do, hopefully the outlaws would before competitive. And yes, Mark's kicked butt at Eldora.
@@lynncrites8987 the woo drivers are suppose to be the best of the best tho . that’s what makes the pa posse such hard competition unlike any where else in the country you don’t see any cali locals running top 3 that aren’t in the woo at cali tracks or any where else , they’re not in the woo cuz they don’t have the money or marks , macri an dewease all would be
WOO WHO? LOL! PA Posse, Lance Dewease, Brent Marks and Anthony Macri have proved that the WOO are overrated and so has ASCOC champion Tyler Courtney and fellow ASCOC competitor Justin Peck proved that the WOO are beatable as well in the last 2 years.
@@jamesh1402 really? Brent Marks is a A main filler? His bank account says otherwise with over $625,000 in earnings. No WOO regular is close to his earnings and I believe this is 3 years in a row that the top WOO money earner was beaten by a non regular WOO driver with this year having PA Posse Brent Marks as the top earner and the previous 2 years it was Kyle Larson.
@@midnight-2021 honestly I'm just jealous lol, I'm a Michigander and WoO hardly ever makes a stop here... The all stars come to Hartford once a year, but it's touch and go. I know the posse have some extremely talented wheelmen!
They absolutely proved nothing to anyone except that there is a lucky star . Everyone knows the talent of the winning Outlaw drivers. Once in a while a posse dog gets lucky and finds a bone. Outlaws rule and midniters drool......
You posse fans are a joke. I mean seriously. Posse runs at a few tracks a year on a weekly basis. WoO run all over the nation. We'll see you posse fans in NC, If you even show up. If so, I'll watch you in the "B" main.😎
The outlaws are suppose to be the best of the best that’s 5 pa races in a row with the posse out front . An you act like these small town pa guys got the money to travel the country like the outlaws , most likely just marks and Marci will haul down to Charlotte an they’ll be top 10 for sure like they were at Knoxville and eldora earlier in the year. You do realize that Donny shautz started in the b main tonight out a small field of 45 ?!?!?
Glad that the PA Posse came out on top but I still stand by that the WOO made a poor decision on racing this race and IMO should have rescheduled this race next year for a Friday $75,000 to win race followed by the 2023 National Open the next day on Saturday night. Had to work and drove by Williams Grove Speedway after 1:30 pm curious to see how many campers showed up and saw that the campers hardly showed up like they do for the regularly scheduled national open week. I knew that this would be a bust for fan attendance this late in the year, especially with Penn State having a night game at the same time as this race. Should have just rescheduled like I said 3 weeks ago. But since they did race with the much lower attendance atleast the PA Posse dominated. See you next year and hopefully no hurricanes for the scheduled WOO national open and if bad weather happens reschedule it the following year and not 3 weeks later in late October unless WOO likes low attendance like what just happened.
@@jdeeds36 compared to the regular national open weekend it is low. Alot of us can't just get off from work or other issues at such a short notice. Many people like myself schedule a vacation week for the National Open to the Port Royal WOO weekend. You can see the low camper turn out when compared to the regular national open weekend. I will still stand by and say that they should in the future reschedule for the following year if something like this happens again. Many people just can't make it on short notice if they work or have other already commitments for late October.
@@CosmosArchipelago a mad house? Hardly saw any campers when I drove by Williams Grove speedway on my way to work early Saturday afternoon. For a regular National Open the campers cover basically the entire grass field for several days and because of that cars are parked along the road outside the gate because of the campers on regular WOO National Opens. No way Williams Grove had anywhere near their normal WOO National Open crowd so no mad house like you claim. The mad house shows are there normal scheduled National Open shows but the Tuscarora 50 ASCOC vs PA Posse race is even a bigger mad house then the regular schedules WOO Williams Grove National open. That Tuscarora 50 race has an insane amount of people for that race back in September. With that race plus the Juniata County fair going on at the same time the Tuscarora 50 week is the best week of racing and fun in not just PA but in the country.
it was still a very nice crowd, not elbow to elbow but the stands were for the most part full(some reservered seats up top were empty and the infield and hill were decently full aswell.
