Well that "downside" of big size, makes it VERY easy to shoot down on other smaller tanks at tier 7 and 6, to bully them, PLUS! Mine weighs 55.4 tons... And the driver has controlled impact xD and it does 51 kph... And it has a 1000HP engine.... And it has meaty hp pool.... RAMMING SPEED!!!
Very pleased to find out the aiming time is 2.3 sec and not 2.9. Judging from this review, this thing is a Panther II on steroids. Thanks Jingles, now I know exactly which first Premium tank I'm gonna get once I have the cash.
did anybody mention that in the last replay the ping is 300? so for that he played REALLY good.

I have been watching your reviews for awhile Jingles, You are the best on RU-vid for reviews of WoT by far, Love your stuff. You just helped me decide what heavy to go with. I can't stand the super slow other heavies. This sounds like it will be perfect for me. LOVE YOUR STUFF, Keep it coming.
I love mine as I play it like a Tier8 version of the Jumbo with a little bit better armor and it works out quite nicely and it can tank a corner long enough to allow for the slower but more heavily armored tanks roll up and take your position so you can use the mobility of the tank to move around where you can really lay the shots into the targets.
I bought this tank and god am I glad, its hard to grasp how good it is until you actually play it, a lot like the IS-6 in that way, and like the IS-6 it's a tank I play for fun rather than because I have to.. thanks for yet another great review, much appreciated :)
With Vents, BiA, and the rammer, the FCM 50t has a solid fire rate of 9.69 rpm. Which amounts to a dpm of 2325. If you were to use food as well, it would go to 10.12 rpm, which amounts to a dpm of 2428.8. Either way that's a fairly solid dpm for a tier 8 heavy/medium, especially considering its maneuverability.

This has basically been my experience as well, I don't always do well in it but there's usually a big smiles on my face herp derping around in this massive old frenchy.
yes. it works one way: crew from same nation same class can work without retraining on a prem tank, but a prem tank crew trained in that prem tank can only serve on it (and other prem tanks of this class and nation, say is6-trained crew can serve on kv5 and churchill III). So yeah, basically training a crew in a premium tank speciality is a waste, as you could just as well have them primarily trained in, say, is-3.
I got the upgraded suspension on mine because of getting tracked all the time. Now I absorb the hit with my tracks and they don't break :) - also be sure to train safe stowage because this tank gets ammo racked ALL the time. Other than that its one of my favorite tanks.
Awesome vid, great looking machine. Made me want one. Only thing is, you said several times that it has 232 pen, but that's the french 100mm gun. This 90mm DCA 45 has 212 pen, which is still good.
there was a moment in oak.. whatever the name of that map was when i was going back to protect base, jumped over railway, landed and lost my last 8 hit points. Shocked how fast and prone to jump dmg it is :/
Thanks for making this at the perfect time! The FCM 50t does look like a great tank, but I don't think it's what I'm looking for in a Tier VIII premium. Now I just have to decide between the T34 and the JagdTiger 88.
great review, i'm thinking about getting this for the new french heavy line. btw you mentioned cost, i was thinking, can't you use your press account to review tanks you're hesitant about spending money on? would be cheaper for you. also, i see what you're saying about the crew thing, but i think there's merit in having a specialized premium crew for your prems. my super persh crew is on their 3rd skill and it's a considerable advantage for credit grinding. and you can still do the swap thing
If your curious about how Un-french the FCM50t is in the Description it says it was developed using Modern French and Captured German technology hence the overlapping roadwheels and the Tiger royal esk turret. and it is deadly when left to its devices I've circle Strafed Is3's on full health and walked away without a taking a single hit.
Great review Jingles, although you keep saying the gun has 232 pen when in fact it's 212 pen. Still plenty though. It's a great tank. Highly recommended.
I knew you'd love this tank. It's so crazy-alternative and so full of that wild Rawr factor ;D ...one thing, though - AR gets damaged very often if you happen to take hits.

I'm tempted to buy this, but at the same time. There's a sale going on for all available American Premium tanks for only $80 USD with 6 garage slots. Sounds like a good deal imo. I do find it ironic that the T26E4 Super Pershing is a medium tank with a bunch of extra welded on armor that operates like a Heavy, while the FCM-50T is a heavy tank with a sick engine that moves like a medium.
FCM is an amazing tank and a top earner in the game. 6.19sec reload, cheap ammo, amazing accuracy & high pen. Very high mobility, weight & view range all combine to ensure that you make a huge amount of credits. THis is a tank a good driver (myself) can make 5000 silver per minute of play in. (50% higher than average tankers driving the FCM, which starts out as the fourth best earner in the game with the potential to be the highest)
I bought the tank two weeks ago. At first I had my doubts but after some games I found this thing kicks ass. It is practically an improved Panther II which never has to face tier 10s LOL
I'm pretty sure the penetration indicator does take into range - using the T1E6 on Provence if I tried to shoot at tanks across the valley there would be a red dot where it would be green up close.
I can tell you that the T-25 is an amazing tank. Excellent straight line speed, superb gun depression and a ton of HP with balanced armour. It has a very slow turret traverse and it can't turn very fast and the gun has a huge aiming time, but have a good crew and a gun laying drive and it becomes better than the post nerf pz. 4 in my opinion.
(Note: frontal armor can surprisely bouncy when you make the perfect angle against enemy tanks. Example: go out with your side from cover only showing your angled frontal armor only. The enemy can only shoot off your tracks and cant penetrate your frontal armor. Its almost the same hint like at ARL44 wg tutorial video.)
Jingles I think for your tank reviews, you should create more visual pointers like pros and cons lists and labeling. Also you should separate parts into subsections and make annotations in the description that will skip to those subsections. It will take longer but I think the organization is important.
I just bought this tank. It is difficult to play. Sometimes you get killed soon, but this only happens when you play badly. When you play acounting for its strenght, it is a deadly machine. It is amazingly fun to play. The ability to cross the map at great speed and the high DPM gun makes it amazingly fun to play. It punishes IS3 and IS6 and this is really nice, because they are so bouncy. But don't stay for one to one frontal fights with anybody that is T8 and up (and also heavy).
Sure its possible, but you will have to pay for retraining like you would with any other tank. The thing about premiums is that any other crew of the same class can drive them without a problem, but a crew trained specifically to drive that tank will have to be retrained.
The trouble with it is in a tier 8 game it's taking a top tier heavy slot up on the team. But you can't play this as a heavy so you play it as a medium that means the team has a top tier heavy handicap. Also the size of this thing is big and you don't want big if your playing it as a medium. Sure you're going to have some awesome games in it but it's too easily penned, that hellcat was unlucky not to do any damage. If you just want to farm creds go for something else that is constantly better at farming, only buy this if your going down the French heavy line and want to train the crew skills.
Great vid Jingles! About the gun though, why do you compare the FCM 50 t 90 mm DCA 45 gun into tier 9's AMX 120 gun in the beginning? Even the tier 7 AMX M4 45 has the same gun as AMX 120's starter gun u compare it into.
Quick question to get it more frequent, are we going to see you play and talk about the Jagdpanzer E100 and/or the AMX 50F155 any time soon? and by soon i mean... nah lets say... a month?
Best medium tank (for me and its not heavy even if the description says, its an enormous medium tank) in tier 8. This tank have many pros. Very high mobility (high turret rotation and tank traverse speed), nice acceleration, nice top speed as heavy/medium, good dpm, pivot, can ram easily every medium tank in its tier, good support, very good view range, nice gun elevation and depression, good penetration, good matchmake, good credit income, small ammo cost. I like this tank so much. ^^
hey, i was doubting between is6 and fcm50t and both your videos helped me out (tanks for that by the way), but i really liked your timer-thingy when you cap a base and the dot on the map where they where last seen. where did you get that?
Have in mind though that Jingles overestimates the armor of the tank in this video. It frankly hardly bounces anything most of the time, and a shot in your rear will most often make you almost-always burn than get bounced off. Also AR gets damaged ridiculously often, so wet ammo rack and the safe stowage loader perk might be necessary. Basically it is a superb swift-like-a-medium good-gun-and-DPM machine, as long as you... don't draw too much attention to yourself :)

This FCM 50t is better than my t34 and my super pershing. The mobility, accuracy, penetration, and dpm really make it great. Now this is the only tier 8 premium I drive nowadays.
Depends on your play style, t34 is more of a support heavy and FCM is practically a medium tank. Both have poor armor, t34 has better alpha damage however you can deal more damage with the FCM per minute. FCM never faces in a tier 10 battle, T34 does.
I do enjoy this tank. My only gripe is the turret seems to get jammed a lot. Happens to me all the time. Probably my own personal bad luck but that has been my experience with it. Good vid

I remember he said he got a press account. its basically an account with every single tank in the garage and infinite gold/credits. in other terms its like a test server account but on the live server, and has some "special" tanks too.
Noticed your bounce on that arty and it reminded me of a match earlier where my Type T-34 while ramming a Grille got tracked and did let the Grille live XD I loled quite a bit to it.
I will say I'm probably gonna grab a second premium once the Super Pershing becomes available so i can have a medium assuming we don't see a mid-summer Type 59 sale. That would be awsome
At 37:05-37:07 you said 232mm pen. It's 212, though I'm sure you know that. You described the FCM very well, it's a tank that should position itself where it can make the best use of its DPM, and in that essence it is similar to the JT88, but more forgiving. Nevertheless it has a really steep learning curve though; not anyone can just pick it up and play it to its strengths, which is what gave this tank a bad rep upon release. Considering on purchasing one when it goes on sale. :]

You should give the Pzkpfw. V/M10 a go, another seriously underated tank, I didn't have the money for a Tier 8 premium so I went with it, and I LOVE it, amazing HP pool blistering rate of fire gun and not bad armor.
Hey Jingles, since it is memorial day weekend in the US and there's a sale going on i wanted your opinion on the mega bundle. Would it be worth getting the US bundle or saving to money to buy something like the Lowe?
i like this tank but my ammo rack constantly gets damaged i want to get the vertical stabalizer and the wet ammo rack i cant choose its a pain i think i should remove gun laying drive i really dont know
Never thought about it like that, kinda right except I think the 50t is taller and the FCM does not have the alpha (but ammo is dirt cheap)...oh and special match making.
weird to hear the differences between console and PC. I played PC for a long time and when my RAM and (possibly) CPU burned out and I couldn't fix it (money)...I switched to console to get my fix. I was not disappointed. console loses customizations options for pre-bundled modules and PC has more tanks/premiums. However, we get a single crew member for every tank and premiums don't require types....just same nation. So, you can train a crew in everything from a light to an artillery. The potential for X2 dailys is massive. Plus, I love the controller.....guess its my guilty secret.
+Isaiah Aguilera yeah.....I know, but not with this clarity or with the feedback (last known locations, etc.). I figure some of its mods....but still.....wish we had them. however...we get a lot of stuff that y'all don't get; Single crew members, packages (which I kinda hate) etc.
+Isaiah Aguilera and all the extra jiggly bits we get on our tanks. its not that big a deal...but it aesthetically pleasing. I dare say the console version is better.....or better rounded, albeit a bit "kiddy mode active"

Jingles tnx for da review of this tank. This tank is absolute beast when u flank around heavies and when the enemy team allow you to shoot at them. With my current setup i get 5.59 sec reload. That's even more awesome. Most of the fcm50t drivers doesn't know how to drive this tank. I see most of them getting killed in the begaining of the match. However some of them do know like me. i once got 8 kills on it just by flanking around and took no damage. Tnc again and sorry for awfully long comment
i think this tank will even gets better after 8.6 after the catastrophic arty nerf (the main enemy) plus the camo system in 8.6 will totally changed and no more depends on the tanks size , so hell yeah i will buy it and keep it in my garage till 8.6 !!
I just bought one as a bday present to myself after watching this review. I gotta say i love it! It moves quick, ok gun depression, makes decent money and has good pen. It can't take a hit from a tier 9 or higher gun tho lol! Good investment. Be careful who you platoon with ie T34/Lowe when your platoon wants to run money tanks, your better off platooning with other FCM 50t's or IS6's.
Jingles, what mods and scripts are you using to get the "last seen" and "enemy level" on the minimap? Can't seem to get my XVM to do it. Also the hits you recieve are recorded in your left corner, where is that from? Script in XVM as well? Please give! :P
U.S.S.R has a lot of easygoing tanks to get you into the game, none of them have huge flaws and perform well without having to grind out tons of stuff or grinding out to higher tiers. I would start there, and spread out after a while
currently the FCM is the fourth best earner in the game. However. A good driver has the potential to make much more in this tank than any other. Even the vaunted Type-59. The FCM is faster than the type-59, can ram tanks into oblivion (the type cant), has a better gun than the type-59/kv-5/super pershing, cheaper gun to run (over twice the damage delt per credit spent) than the T34/Lowe/IS-6. and unlike all the other non type/fcm tier-8 premiums its FAST so it gets LOTS of spotting bonus damage.
jingles you should get commission from wargaming because you have sold this tank to me. I wanted to start getting into medium tanks, I'm your common I want to drive a tiger tank WOT player now driving the E 75, and right as I got up the confidence to by the type 59 they took it back of the shelves. Well now I'm looking to go down the French heavy line and I think this is the tank for me. Thanks for the videos and keep them coming.
Hm. A problem I can immediately see with it is that when you platoon with someone it's an automatic fail platoon unless they're in the same tank. Yeah, you showed it doing well in a tier 10 game, but I figure there must be some reason it gets special matchmaking. I can see it being a fun tank for solo use, however.
