World of Tanks: How to Not Noob (Episode 2: Random Battles)

TLDR: Just covering the mentality of playing WOT Random Battles for people that are new to the game or want to get better at the game. I play some games in some tanks while explaining why I do the things I do!
About the Game:
Gameplay was recorded at Maximum Settings with Motion Blur disabled (As usual).
ShadowPlay was used at 50 Mbps at 1080-60p

I think what you're doing is great. It seems to me that the really good players turn their nose towards the sky and want nothing to do with players below 50%WR. Why would they want other players to be as good as them? Funny stuff. It is a good thing to have a player with your stats, (let me be clear there are more like you, but clearly not enough of you), who takes the time and the effort to make anyone, that's everyone better. You give the advise, you show how it is done, then leave it up to the individual player to do it. Watching your video's has helped. I now understand that doing the most damage in a battle doesn't just help your over-all stats... Doing damage helps your team. Being a well rounded team-mate. Tunnel vision before with going for kills, seeming not to care about anything else. Kills are okay, and usually come more frequently with higher damage dealt. Thanks again for your time and all you do for us below 50%er's. Pretty f&cking amazing!

Definitely, I can't stand that sometimes as I'm not exactly a noob (4.2k battles) but still noobish, once I lost all but 2 battles one day but all 20 battles that day I caused 1200+ damage at tier5

Here is a trick I used to 3 mark my Cromwell. I was maxed out at just over 90% for like two years and could never hit 95% no matter what I tried. I used to use binocs but after watching some pros, I noticed they used optics instead and premium food to help boost view range up. This way you have great spotting range all the time, even when moving and also an overall improvement in the tank because of the food boosting everything up. It only took me a few days and finally with some luck, I got that 3rd mark. I played for two years with binocs and never was able to get 3 but after putting optics and food on the tank, it only took a few days to hit 95%. Now I don't run food unless I was playing in tournies or something because it gets expensive. I only used the food to get that 3rd mark on the gun as it will never go away even if the percentage drops below 95.

What mods are you using? and what settings?? I would have thought though that for a noob how to improve you would have chosen standard out of the box settings for WoT.

Thank you for your reply sir. I have one question, since you are at the level of 'super unicum'.. I have 9k battle with WR of 50.2 %. Is is still possible for me to reach the status of unicum by solo, or should I start new account?

Depends on what you are going for. You will only be purple if you play at an average of far above purple (3200 wn8) for another 30k ish battles. If you *Need* to be purple overall, then I'd recommend you get good at playing the game, (pushing 3k wn8 consistently) and then reevaluate as *It would do nothing for you to reroll now.* On a more personal note, I would never recommend rerolling. Most clans value recent WN8 far more than average WN8 at this point anyway, and the top clans give zero fucks about XVM if you have contacts with them or have proven yourself capable. I'd put in a pin in it till you're good, and then, I doubt it'll be worth it.

duuuuuuudddddeeee you made playing the cromwell look so easy! When I play it I'm almost always too scared to make aggressive moves and that usually results in my worthless death :(

This comment will probably never be answered. But, Im using the T26E4 and it is a great tank. Pros: Has decent velocity, has thick frontal armor. Cons: Has weak side hull and turret armor, cant penetrate large tanks. I cant seem to be able to find my good spot in this tank. Ill try to follow heavies into the center, when in reality, arty will pin me or other heavies will kill me and I wont be able to kill them. This is one reason why I wanted the M4A1 Revolorise, which has an outstanding gun but weak armor. Im having trouble playing this tank, I only get 1000 or lower damage per battle, when all of the other players using this tank get 5000+ Pen. It really bothers me, I just want that 7k damage but cant seem to do it well. Im not a noob, I have done very well in other tanks, such as my Matilda IV, and some other very nice tanks. It just seems that this tank cant handle level VIII.

In all honesty, it really is. Knowing who on the enemy team you can trust to not be stupid is a great thing...If only you could trust dem purples on your team to not be stupid *Facepalm*

People always complain about unicuums , that they are stat padders ,selfish etc. The truth is in most cases they think different ,analyse quicker ,make decisions faster ,then a lot of us, thus we can not understand their decision-making . They are thinking like Chess players, In most cases they are not selfish or ignorant, but the gap between average and unicum is so huge, is impossible to cooperate

Getting 3k Wn8 is VERY easy in tier 5s getting it in tier 10s is another story

+Clash with JAG Not when you only play it to grind through the line. I stopped playing it when I got the Hellcat. So, that's like saying because I know how to play a t9 really well, I'm stat padding in it if it's easy to get wn8 in. It doesn't work. Stat padding is only statpadding if you play the tank just for stats. I play the t67 for fun, and because I needed the hell kitty. I also happened to be godlike in it. But that's the difference isn't it? I was good in it. If a guy with 300 wn8 and twice as many battles in me played it a bunch, but wasn't good in it (or just as good as normal, 300 wn8), would you care as much? No, no you would not. -S

Clash with JAG And about your T10 vs T5 comment, there's no real difference for me. Well, that's not true. On my account with t10s, I average 4200 wn8. When fooling around at t4-6, I get closer to 2900 to 3300. -S

Fair enough, but for most players that play the t67 they have 3k games in it farming new players for 3k wn8 and then say they are a unicum

IMO you are only a unicum if u can do 4k dmg sessions in a tier 10 and 3 mark it, this makes me by my own definition not a unicum even though my recent wn8 is 2900 in tier 10 tanks

So you make a video titled 'How to not noob' and show us you playing in the most powerful TD of it's tier. Then you show us the Cromwell B, another of the best tanks of it's tier, also a premium tank, which is rarely even sold. You also use XVM and a mod for zooming out more. You do offer some good advice however. So my take away from this is: Play the best tanks, spend money on the best tanks, use mods that change the game dramatically and focus on killing their best players. And don't drive out on a flank unsupported, unless you are in a fast tank. I hate that xvm exists as a mod. I don't use it because it feels like it dictates how you play based on stats, every game you look for where the enemy unicum players are. I hate it also because I know I am playing at a disadvantage without it. Along with this commander view mod which is borderline cheating, at this point you may as well tell the noobs watching this video to install Tundra and all the other cheat mods... No one else can look over buildings except SPGs, the mechanics of the game are balanced around people not having as much visual information as this mod provides. So again, I am at a disadvantage playing against people using this mod.
