While that's partly true, you can overcome the difference by how you play. I find myself at bottom or middle tier in most of my battles, but end up in the top 3 in XP in a large percentage of them. I use tanks with high penetration values and I'm not afraid to spam gold when I need to. Those "purists" who refuse to use premium ammo usually don't do well and do most of the complaining! Aim for the tracks so you can get assist points and when you get someone perma-tracked in a good situation, just farm the hell out of him! There will be some tanks you can't pen, but you can shoot their gun and keep them from firing while your teammates take him down. It's little things like that that help your team win when match making throws you a curve ball!
