The music for this song was composed by Serbian musician Goran Bregović. Since there is no proof that the song existed before he published it, it is very likely that the song is indeed his. Knowing the method of its creation, it is also very likely that he took parts of the song from Gypsy folklore that he studied together with Laza Ristovki (but not the actor). If anyone has any proof of the existence of this melody before it was published by Bregović, please leave a link. Otherwise, the association of this song with the religious holiday dedicated to St. Georg among Serbs is a pure pomodari culture that dates back to the beginning of the 90s of the last century and was encouraged by Serbian nationalism. By the way, I also celebrate this holiday as part of my family's tradition, and of course I love this song, but sometimes it's good to look the truth and facts in the eye and not mix our culture with Gypsy culture (which I appreciate and respect just as much as my own.)

@@kiran6671 Hungarian comes from the Uralic region of Asia and belongs to the Finno-Ugric language group, meaning its closest relatives are actually Finnish and Estonian. The hungarian is not similar to neither Czech nor Polish. Hungarian is nothing like Polish nor like Czech. The only similarity that comes to mind is the abundance of “sh” and “ch” sounds in all these languages, which makes all of them sound “rustling” for someone who doesn't speak any of them.

New Map Suggestion: There will be an island section, one side will be a cave section, and there may be a sunken old ship inside the cave. At the top of the cave will be a high mountain, the area with the mountain will be the forest, on the other side there will be an airport with dilapidated hangars and airplanes, a coastal section with tanks, cargo ships will appear. It's like they're carrying tanks. It could be pirated music. Note: The cave part may be adjacent to the coast. The map I'm talking about has been created, it's an incredible thing. :DDDDDD

This is a song made by the author Goran Bregović from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ex-Yugoslavia, frontman of the Sarajevo's band Bijelo Dugme, one of the most famous ex-Yu rock bands. It is a Roma song, sang in Roma/Gipsy language. However there are lots of other versions in multiple languages, moslty in Balkans and in Turkey, where is mostly played. Goran Bregović and Bijelo Dugme published it on their album called Ćiribiribela in 1988, by the name of Đurđevdan. It is about one of the most famous Roma's Holidays, St George's day which also hapens to be the start of the spring but it's also a love song. Tens of thousands of Serbs were killed in Jasenovac death camp along with Roma and Jews but this song was not made by Serbs who traveled the death train, otherwise it would have been sang in Serbian language and it'd be about Serbs, not Roma people. Unless the Serbs are Roma/Gipsy but I don't think they are. Therefore this song belongs to Roma people firstly, then to all of the Balkans and the whole world. Stop spreading bloody lies, myths and deception. And one more thing, THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY FENOMENAL, great work from the WoT team, enjoy everyone, peace and živela braća Cigani! ❤❤❤

tbf czechia has a gypsy pop of ~200.000 and slovakia ~500.000 so it's not irrelevant. only a map in romania or hungary would be more suitable for this
